A Quiet Day in Sendai & Matsushima Bay โ Relaxed Japan Vlog

[Music] [Music] just [Music] come on. Come on. [Music] Good morning. So um today we are in a different city. We are in Sai, which is in the Miyagi prefixure of uh Tohoku region in Japan. I’ve got to make this intro a bit short because I’m running out of time. But anyways, uh we’re basically at this we’re at this boat fish market. And that’s what we’re going to do today. Go on a ferry ride. And I’ll show you what the market looks like with this upcoming drone footage. Now, [Music] I hope you like that footage. Please like and subscribe if you feel like you’re enjoying the content and want to see more. I’m an independent creator and I create everything by myself. So, uh, it does help out a lot. So, let’s get on with the video. [Music] [Music] Stop [Music] he is smoking as well as the beret he’s wearing on his head. It reminds us of the statue of a very fashionable Neo. [Music] We have now for the convenience of We are in Matsushima area and it’s uh right across from basically where we took the boat. It was about a 40-minute boat ride which is pretty nice cuz it wasn’t like too long or anything. Here we are finally walking onto the island. Here’s [Music] some food stands. We might grab something to eat cuz it’s pretty cold out and I’m hungry. Down this way looks to be a popular street. So, as I’m walking, I’m thinking about this is probably like the perfect time of the year to come so that you can eat like all the good hot food, but it’s not cold enough that it’s snowing, but it’s still cold enough that it’s nice out and you can see like the autumn leaves. So, there’s this little shrine up here. I’m going to walk up towards it. So, here we are. And this is called gold idol. [Music] [Music] [Music] What I really want to check out is that big bridge over there. So, right now it’s a pretty crowded area, but I’m making my way towards that bridge and hopefully I can find some kind of nice spot to stay at where there isn’t much people around cuz I want to find my drone for a bit and get some cool footage. Even though like you’re in a safe area and you can still fly it, you still get weird looks from a lot of people. which I’m not trying to disturb anyone or anything. All right, so the bridge is right behind me and I finally found a good spot to get some drone footage. So, you’ll see that right now. [Music] [Music] I hope you guys enjoyed that drone footage as much as I enjoyed making it. Now, here we go on the bridge. It’s very peaceful out here and quiet, which is totally different than like compared to Tokyo. And the air feels much better out here, too, funny enough. [Music] So, finally on the island and it’s beautiful out here. Here’s a map. So, let’s see. try to start from one and just go all the way around until we get to number five, the viewing platform, and then make our way back. You know, starting this video, I didn’t think um it was going to be like a little hike video, but I’m kind of happy how it ended up like this. [Music] [Music] So, as you can see behind me, there’s a little cafe ice cream shop. It’s kind of funny. In Japan, I feel like you always find like little cafes and ice cream shops everywhere and in like the strangest places. So, right now we are at a crossroads and not 100% sure where to go, but I’ll follow the arrow. [Music] So, I found a nice little cool spot. And guess what? Another drone footage. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] All right, I hope you guys enjoyed that drone footage again. Um, this time we kind of got more into the island, so that was much cooler to see. It’s really beautiful out here, especially with these like autumn colors. Look at that. Just kiss. [Music] I’m going to start to head back now. Um, it’s getting pretty cold out and dark, so I’m hungry and I kind of want to explore what the um rest of the area has to offer. [Music] Here we are in the uh grass park of the island. This is such a cool little island that I did not know was here until I just like went here and just found it. And it was only 200 yen, so maybe about like a $1.50 maybe. So, I think it’s definitely worth it. It’s not like crowded at all. It’s very quiet. So, if you like that kind of stuff, worth it. And check this out. Oh, there’s an origami exhibition right here. Wow. Aren’t these cool? Wow. Holy cow. You got like an army of beetles, Totoro, rock hopper, penguins, [Music] unicorn, frost dragon. Wow. [Music] Japanese kids are so creative. So, as I’m walking, I’m feeling a little bit more and more water droplets. So, I think that’s that’s a sign of that’s a sign that I need to head back somewhere warm and indoors. Here’s the other side of the bridge. [Music] So, you can feel right now um while walking across the bridge, the wind is strong and it’s blowing all this cold air into your face. So, I’m about halfway across the bridge, but I’m really looking forward to just going inside and chilling somewhere and eating something hot, maybe with a cup of coffee. That would be perfect right now. Now back on the mail area. Lots of people, lots of food. I think everything smells really good. I’m hoping to find something that isn’t so crowded. But might have to just suck it up and just deal with it. So, actually, before it gets too dark, I want to check out this shrine that’s uh in front of us. Maybe there’s going to be something good at the end of it. So, let’s see if it’s all worth it or if it’s just a shrine. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Hey. [Music] So, we’re still in the area and I just got my coffee and finished it. The owner was really cool, so check him out on Instagram. Right here. Now, we are stopping to get some Italian food. Um, I got this like number one seafood Italian food and a caramel macchiato. And the food that I ordered is going to be right here. Thermo macchiato and seafood enchilada. So, let’s dig in. [Music] [Music] So good. And let’s try some of this caramel macchiato. [Music] This is perfect for a cold and rainy night like this. So, let me finish this up and then we’re going to head off to the next destination. [Music] Also, in this seafood ensilada is clam, shrimp, tomato, salmon, and tuna. Oh, and eara, which is um [Music] like this uh orange caviar. Yummy. Now that I’m full, energized, and warmed up, let’s go ahead and go to the last location for the day, which is back at the temple that we were at with a twist. So, here we are. Um, got my ticket right here. So, this is called the ensuing light up show. So, the temple here at night, they do uh lights and you can see some really cool stuff. Here’s an example of a light. There we go. So, let’s go in now and get some cool footage. [Music] So, here we are finally in the lightup area. It’s so beautiful out here. Lots of orange, yellow, red autumn colors. This is so cool. It’s like walking through an old Japanese movie of sorts, like a colorized samurai movie. [Music] Party 23. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] All righty. Well, I hope you guys enjoyed that light show. It was really, really cool. It’s gotten colder out, but at least it stopped raining. This is where I’m going to end the video here. So, if you guys like what you just watched, please like and subscribe. Um, again, I’m an independent creator. Um, I do everything by myself. So, uh, a like and subscribe goes a long way.
