When the summer comes to an end, people start saying “sports no aki (autumn is for sports)” in Japan. The moderate fall weather is thought to be the best time to get active.

Bios no Oka a.k.a. “Bios on the Hill” is following up on last year’s fall fun with Aki-no Tairyoku Sokutei, a series of athletic attractions to make the most of the season.

There will be six categories to try this year: grip strength, long jumps (without runups), forward bends, pull-ups (or just hanging), and quick side steps.

All of the challenges will take place at Ashibiuna, a big lawn located in the center of the park.

Test your strength, quickness and flexibility in the relaxing atmosphere that the nature-themed park is known for. Exercising while enjoying the beautiful landscape will make you feel great.

It’s also worth noting that Oct. 13 will be the Taiiku-no-hi (Sports Day) holiday in Japan.

Why not celebrate this special day by breaking a sweat on Bios on the Hill?
