Popularly known as the “Casio Train” or “G-Shock Train” for its distinctive exterior appearance, the Osaka Metro 400 Series (大阪メトロ30000系電車) was introduced in 2023 ahead of the 2025 World Expo. Built by Hitachi, they were fitted with Hitachi SiC-VVVF and feature large dual-screen LCD information system, operating on the Osaka Metro Chuo Line (中央線).
The Osaka Subway counterpart uses multi-language, blended-in advertising (income opportunity), station information, destination information, and a full-display map across both screens.
