How I Reached Mt Fuji’s Summit

Working!
Working! Hello! Hello adventure lovers! Here we are in Fuji Mountain! Well it was long journey: first of all I have to get to Tokyo which
I will make another video for that episode. Then I have to get to
Got… Gotemba!
and then from Gotemba to Kawaguchiko Kawaguchiko to get here… The longest journey was from Gotemba to… Getting here to Fujimau because it was a lot of changes with a bus, and the journey
took me more or less 3 hours. Anyway I got to the 5 station and it’s
the only one station where you have to pay 2000 yen. And it’s the shortest
path to top of the hill. It’s a path for lazy a** as me! My goal is just get to the top. Down we will get in another way. Let’s not waste any time
and let’s start our journey! Such nice guys!
You have to show them bracelets! you gonna stay there right for a night? You don’t speek English? no English! no English! ok sorry! ( Be ready in Japan, you will need a translation app. ) First sign. 6 km (3.7 miles) to summit, Mt. Fuji. Around 385 min. Thats how they calculate. Yeah!
It’s around 4 h. People stopping and snacking. it’s really necessary when you hiking,
have a little snack to not make you full, but bring some small amount of carbs to
make it energy. And breathe! Breathe in the nose,
breathe out through the throat. oh!
So we made already one kilometer,
343 minutes left. let’s go! Slowly holy we get into the top. Anyway! So we hiking almost one hour . I made two kilometers. I think for me it’s good result. My heart rate is 131. Its’ not so bad. Counting the fact that I’m really high altitude now. And golden rule: stopped for some snacks and
drink some “Pocari” Hey man!
Can we make a cheers? cheers! ha ha ha!!! ha ha ha!!! ha ha ha!!!… It’s really important to have short breaks. Because you know… The higher you are in the mountain. The lower level of oxygen. Can’t feel physically well, right? As I’m not mountain person,
because Lithuania don’t have mountains, it’s really important
to have stops. Just to get used to higher latitudes. Let’s have lunch break! Here we have some queue, and I’m not sure,
should I wait for a queue or can I go? Sorry! Probably folks behind me doing
smartly, they’re not in a rush. But as I’m coming back on another path,
I don’t have so much time for…. Slowly holy, but I need to move! 8th Station! If something gonna happen to you! Yes, you know…. 8th Station have emergency point! As much as I hiked in Europe, i haven’t seen, Such a good infrastructure for hikers anywhere! So far… I believe Mount Fuji is the highest peak where I get to! Sadly my friend
Robert not here… My pal, dude, with whom I always get into the highest peaks! Hi Robert!
If you’re watching this greetings from Fuji mountain! Hope you enjoyed this video! Funny thing, when I watched other youtubers who hiked Fuji… And I thought did they just acting, you know!? But being physically here, and doing completely same challenge. You cannot avoid this toughness… Especially when you are dizzy… You’re hiking like in a dream fog. And…. It’s challenging guys… We’re not acting! Definitely you have to have even for lazy a** You have basic physical preparation,
you have to! We are… On 8th half-point station.
And there is 500 meters still to nine station. Do you see at this another path? There is another path for hikers
who are getting down. There would be a perfect balance between, you know, hikers
who are getting up and hikers who are getting down. You can buy snacks, water… Noodles … Noodles for 4 euros… Its too expensive… Let’s go! It’s not because I want to sleep,
I believe, it’s because not enough air here. 35 minutes left. 400 meters. Altitude 3600 m Oh my God!
What a view! There is the base. Guys! To be honest. I’m so dizzy! Small steps at the time.
There is no other philosophy. Almost there! Should make it! Gorgeous! And we are? We are here! Is it better to go here or there? No! There? Go there? I have another question? I need to later Gotemba go… Which? Yeah, Gotemba! Gotemba… Ah, ok There is a Torii gate. Ok, amazing! Ok, cool! Dōmo arigatō = Thank you so much!
どうもありがとう Here on top: Lovely cozy town. Look what is here Our lovely! Favorite! Vending machines! So crazy Coffee cost 500 jpy. Which is down there It costs like 120 jpy. I mean it makes sense because you know… That they bring it vending machines here…. Let’s get to our Hot spot! Because we don’t have so much time, and… Get down! Is this is the highest point? High point? Like highest point? Top? This is one? Yes! Ok! Yay! Amazing! < Arigato! > ( I didn’t understand anything he said. ) Wow! So here on Fuji, There is a couple let’s say let’s call it Highest peaks! One of them… This one, the red one. Then there is Non-official one. there is this red dot on the stone. You know! That the stone and it’s part of the mountain. And then We have this one gorgeous monument with a Japanese ieroglifs. Next to the weather checking base. And that’s the crater itself! Sleeping. Chilling. Hope! Not planning to erupt in the nearest future! The hike up here from the 5th station, for lazy a**, took me 4 hours. To be more precise… 4h and 35 minutes. And it wasn’t the highest hike in my life! It was actually one of the toughest. Hope it will be more easy to get down. I made it! ( I am singing ) I made it! Woah woah woah woah woah woah! That was close! So if you’re wondering what’s on top of Fuji mountain, here is… A lot of cozy places to sit down. Look! You can even buy a medal. Coffee, Cost 500 jpy. So it’s the same as vending machine. Nice place to sit and chill. But we don’t have a time for that. So there is the bad news! Apparently, I checked the weather in Mt. Fuji And it’s raining! So probably down there… It’s a rain. Then another bad news, it’s 6 o’clock now, PM. Right? And it’s getting dark 6.59 PM Almost 7 So! Hope I will do not need use my lighter. Woah so scary! The stones are falling. 3 hours or so… Ok! For you up here? Down is 3 hours Cause… It’s getting dark, and… Thank you for motivation! < Thank you so much! > Well guys I don’t have a 3 hours… So we need find Perfect Zen, Perfect Yin Yang, for Safety! And to be fast! Are you with me? Write down in comments! If you are with me. And if you get bored! Also write down in comments! I will know that I’m making boring videos. If I will stay alive! I have to make tough decisions, “Komoot” “shows me that I have to go that way. Signs showing me, Keep out! They not allow me to go there. Everywhere, the scary signs, like Falling rocks! Camping place! Wow! I can stay here for one night! 8th station Can you imagine guys? What a station?! I see already green… Greenish part. There is some kind of oxygen already At least it’s more. So maybe I will stop being crazy. ” Falling rocks ” another sign. Some people! Generators! Hello! “Konnichiwa” (こんにちは) – meaning “hello,” “good day,” Food and drink, Coffee – 600 jpy. Curry Rice… Wow! Folks are chilling here! Nice, Nice! They are sleeping on the beds. Guys! I am dreaming… for hot sauna, bath, with TV… ” Falling rocks ” again… Not the most inspiring signs. Wow! There is more people! Going down? Yeah! Coming down. I was on top. – Oh! You did the summit? Yeah! I did summit! You staying on the mountain? No! Oh! S*it! That’s my another question Is it far away the bus stop or something? Yeah!… How long has it taken us to get here? I don’t know but it’s like
5 or 7 hours down… No way! – If you ran you’ll probably
do it in 3… but it’s getting dark so…
you probably don’t want to do that! – Yeah, be careful! Good luck! Yeah, thanks! Thank you so much! “Arigato” (ありがとう) “Domo arigato” (どうもありがとう) Be careful! Probably don’t have any other option I have to get to close the station which
gonna take me to the Gotemba. Let’s hope that any public
transport is working… Wait! In 3 hours, It’s almost 7 PM. I believe that at 10 PM it should work,
so let’s go! Basically I’m jogging from the mountain. So epic! Hold on! My altitude is 2344 m! And my city, Gotemba (altitude 600 m)… Is there! I hope you can see this video! Because if you see this video, means that I’m alive! And there will be continued. Bus will be tomorrow at 9.45 AM. So? Guess what? Yep! Exactly! I just going down by my foot right to civilization! Wow! This dude basically saved my life! Otherwise I would walk from
Fuji mountain maybe… For the next 4 hours. Wow! What a bedroom! Wow!!! What a…. Wait wait wait… What a bathroom! Wow! They have even TV here! Again those Japanese toilets… So guys! Hope you liked this video. Now I’m in Gotemba bus station where I gonna head to the Nagoya. And from Nagoya to Kyoto where will be upcoming episode. Anyway! Fuji… Wow! Was something unbelievable for me. So I highly suggest you make reservation for a house
up the mountain. Get to the house, like as much higher as possible during the day. Stay there for a night and then hike to the top, and see sunlight. That’s basically most of smart people do. Don’t do as I did! Well, I have limited budget, and limited time… So… I wanna use it maximum, this is why happen as it happened It is happy ending in the end. I’m really happy and I’m satisfied. Like Fuji mountain is amazing. And Yeah! It gonna stay for… for long time in my memory. So… Yeah my friends. Continue to travel! That’s why I’m making those videos, to motivate you to travel. Write down in the comments what you like, and what you don’t like about this video. And yeah! See you next video! Cheers! Have a good one! Peace!
