We Found Disturbing Things in Japans Most Haunted Forest (Aokigahara Forest)

Some viewers may find the following video disturbing. Viewer discretion is advised. Yo. Oh my god. What? [Music] A bunch of journals just left here. Visiting Aokiara is a heartbreaking experience, especially when we come across a goodbye letter. My camera is kind of like malfunctioning. We’re wandering. We found this and we’re just trying to figure out what happened, understand it more. So, this is going to be fine. See, I’m telling you, as soon as you go over, ages changes. See you guys. Someone came here on their birthday to unalive themselves. Deep within Japan lies Oki Gajara, the sea of trees, a forest where quietness lingers with an air of sorrow. Definitely like super super eerie. Even this already considered one of the most haunted places in the world. It’s a reputation that carries a weight that goes beyond tragedy alone. A bunch of journals just left. Japanese folklore speaks of Aoki Gajara as a place haunted by Uray. Restless spirits of those who passed away carrying pain or unfinished burdens. It is said these spirits drift through the trees making the forest feel like a place where the line between the living and those who have passed grows thin. In this video, we explore the unsettling stories of Auki Gajara. All right, we arrived Auki Gajara. Last time I’ve been here was was 2016. Now, it’s always like a story I love to tell as a place I’ve been to out here in Japan. The last time I walked through Aayoki Gajara was in 2016. A visit that has stayed with me ever since. Heavy with memory and emotion. And this right here kind of actually stuck out to me. It seems like there’s pills, like drugs or something. Let’s see what’s inside. Let’s see what’s inside. Oh, almost fell through a hole. This is the entrance to side forest and we’re about to go in. As we first just got here, right at the entrance was a missing child’s poster. So, already walking through this, like the audio from the the highway just simmer down and it’s like you just felt like a weird eerie like air feeling. But you can even see the roots. Look at how the roots look. So like if you’re running through these roots and running through this place, you can easily trip and, you know, sprain an ankle, hurt yourself, anything like that. This does give me a little amp because it’s like it’s been a while, you know? It’s been a really long time. Wow. [Music] Even my camera is kind of like malfunctioning. Weird. Aoki Gajara is said to play tricks not only on the mind but on the electronics as well. The volcanic soil beneath the forest is rich in iron which can disrupt compasses and even cause GPS signals to falter. Deep inside devices grow unreliable, adding to the eerie sense of disorientation that makes this forest so unsettling. Isn’t like the roots. Aren’t the roots really interesting to look at though? Yeah. Like it’s really different from anything else you’d see. Look how the way they’re grown. Like this is something completely different. Aukoki Gajara forest lies west of Tokyo. It is so thick and dense it has become known as the sea of trees. It also has another more sinister name, the suicide forest. Last year, 45 Japanese traveled here from all over the country to end their lives. Local police became so alarmed they began patrols with the specific goal of preventing more suicide. Yeah, you’d never see roots like this. It’s just like no scenery and everything is just so different. Look at the way these uh leaves are growing on this tree all the way up. So, this my girlfriend’s first time coming into something like this. She’s really getting experience out here. That’s for sure. So, what I love is just be able to do adventures like this. So, it’s fun. It’s unique. It’s different. You know, if we stuck around just doing all the tourist things, you wouldn’t have that type of memory that this type of thing leads you to. Plus, Rich lost his drone. There’s a lot of things that happen during this day, but it’s all part of the experience of things. The biggest thing I have to admire about this forest is that it’s unlike any other. think there’s so much forces in the world and you just have this one eerie forest. Is that just what’s is that interesting? I find it pretty interesting. It’s kind of eerie. Is there an actual owl making that sound? I’m pretty sure it is. I’ve never heard an owl make that sound. I mean, I never even heard owl speak. I don’t think I have. You just go. Are you going the right way? I don’t know. Here is our new national campaign slope. Daddy, are you sleeping well? That’s because most of the people who commit suffer from depression and sleep patterns are a good indicator. The aim here is to increase public awareness using a very simple message. So through the path over there. So once you So this is going to be fine. Yeah. You make it down, you’re fine. Yeah. Then once you cross over to where you’re not supposed to be. Yeah. It’s just those big ass like hornets that like this big hornets. Yeah. Yeah. The the big ones. These all black ones. God, they look like my jacket. [ __ ] that, dude. And then one was one was following like Radic and I was like I was like, did they go through? Huh? Did they go through? No, no, no, no. It went to Ratic and it came back. No, I mean like did Rat and Rich and No, Radic walk all the way in. Oh, yeah. Oh, no, no, no. So me and him both did. I was like I was like I was like, “Huh?” Yeah. I’m telling you, as soon as you go over, it just changes. Yeah. At this point, it feels as though I’m completely on my own, wandering deeper into the heart of Aokiara. This is the side where the urea said to rest. And beyond this point, everything changes. My god, being on my own, I can feel the anxiety setting in even stronger. It’s definitely like super super eerie. And the minute you walk past, even this already a string here right at the beginning. You see this? These strings are left behind to guide the way back. when night falls because in this forest it’s all too easy to lose your way. It’s kind of spooky cuz like if you’re walking through this alone and you have all these strings that kind of guide you back to where you were, you can get easily lost in this. Real easily lost. Kind of makes you a little anxious, not going to lie. But yeah, another string. It’s kind of spooky cuz like if you’re walking through this alone and you have all these strings that kind of guide you back to where you were, you can get easily lost in this. Real easily lost. Kind of makes you a little anxious, not going to lie. But yeah, another string. So I made to like a certain point, but like I don’t see anyone. Yeah, I Oh, it wasn’t that far off behind them. So, I’m just going to go back. But you have to follow these colors of these uh strings all the way back to know where you came from. It was the most weirdest feeling because the deeper I got, I just didn’t hear anyone’s voice knowing that my friends are somewhere in this forest. So, I decided to turn back, especially because I kept running into spiderw webs. In the feeling I had as I was wandering deeper into the forest, I felt like it was like an endless loop, almost like Silent Hill. We’re just in the same cycle over and over again. Oh, I see y’all. But thankfully, at this very moment, I heard my friends call out for my name. And what we discovered next was very unsettling. [Music] Dude, y’all didn’t go off path, did you? Coming. Making way to my friends. Oh, I see you guys. Oh yo. Oh my god. What? Hold on. The hell. Look at this. Look how deep these roots go. Coming across the tent in Aoki Gajara was truly heartbreaking. We knew what we were walking into, but when you actually encounter it and see with your own eyes, your heart sinks. [Music] As you guys can see, yeah, we are finding a tent after all. And it’s the craziest thing because what they’re suggesting is that someone came here on their birthday to unal alive themselves. Obviously, it didn’t happen here in this very moment of this spot or the bike could have been picked up. Who knows? I don’t know. You know, it’s just we’re wandering. We found this and we’re just trying to figure out what happened, understand it more. It’s really sad though. [Music] A bunch of journals just left here. Old notes, old journals. Definitely was a female pride. uh journaling and you can see they even burnt it like they’re trying to let go of some type of past and she got a birthday cake. It’s a very unescribable feeling knowing that you came to this forest and you found this tent. It took me back to when we first found a tent back in 2016. There’s so much more of their random belongings here along with all this stuff. He also has like this kids toy playmat. This probably makes you makes you think maybe the person had kids and he and the kid probably like passed away so he probably went depressed. It’s absolutely devastating and I believe it’s important to bring more awareness to this forest and to those who are suffering deeply. Now more than ever, we need to show compassion and understanding for those in need. Still can’t believe we found this, but we’re going to be heading out now. Seriously, what a day. It’s not over yet, boys. We still got the night’s still young. We just keep going and going and going. My god. Yo, how did you guys even find spot that? I I spotted it. You did? Twice. Oh, [ __ ] Once at first I didn’t know what I was looking at and then I was like, it looks so different. It didn’t look like forest. So, you just went towards it? Yeah. I was like, Josh, look at that tent. He’s like, yeah, dude, you might be right. Bro, I went deep into like following the pathway and I turned back. So, I was like, I’m the same. Yeah, we saw you. You saw you running back? Oh, yeah. You know why I saw you from there? Because I saw I was running the spiderw webs. That’s I was like, they didn’t go this deep. I’m so glad finding Radic and everyone because as I was going deeper, they were actually on the side, you know, that’s where they found the tent. So, like obviously you guys know I was going deep. I was a little anxious. I was like, “Wait a second. I literally don’t hear anyone. You can’t hear anyone.” It was weird. Yeah. So, I was like, “Yo, Rat, are you Did you hear me yell for you guys?” No, dude. This forest masks the sounds, dude. It’s freaking weird, bro. This is weird. We literally get to a closer point to leaving and the it just lights back up. It does. It does. And if you actually bring your drone over from here, you’ll see Fuji. No, I know. I I’ve done it before. I did it. Yeah. I did it. Yeah. Rich did it right here, too. Yeah. It’s so weird cuz as you’re walking out, as you get closer to the entrance of it, the sun starts coming back through. Feels less eerie, less heavy. Yeah. As you’re deeper in. Bro, I actually did get kind of freaked out. Yeah, it does get weird in there. Yeah. Did you get freaked out? No. I could just walk this forever. Well, dude, I got kind of like weirded out cuz I was just like, I know you guys aren’t that far from me. I heard no one until I started seeing [ __ ] like that. Like like a tent. Yeah. Then I’m like, “All right, this place is off.” Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And it is. But you just Yeah. All right. Coming in here, you’re always going to find something. Dude, I can’t believe we actually found a [ __ ] I didn’t think we’re going to find anything. So, I just started walking back accepting fate. Find something. Always. Last time I found baby. Yeah. Did you ever see the the the movie of this the actual movie? I never seen it. So that’s what like we when we saw the movie is how we learned about it. Really? And it was like an actual It’s not like a documentary. It’s like a movie where they Yeah. where someone went missing and it had like I learned about it from a channel called Rachel in June. What I love about exploring this forest is the quiet beauty within it. Even with all the sadness tied to this place, there’s a sense of wonder in the surroundings that you can’t help but admire. It’s a moment truly worth pausing to take in. I hope you guys enjoyed the video. I put a lot of passion and hard work into this video because it has a deeper connection to me personally coming to this forest. I know it has like a bad reputation due to Logan Paul and everything, but there’s a deeper meaning to this forest for me personally. Like I want to spread that type of awareness for those who have the negative thoughts. I personally had a brother who passed away due to suicide uh when I was a teenager back in 2011 I would say. Um that’s why my name is John Yuray. Personally that’s why I have it tattooed my arm. This is your Ray right here because of like the deeper meaning the name has behind it. And it personally helps me evolve and grow and keeps me a reminder as to why I do what I do. I love filming. I love creating. And I love just you know challenging myself in these ways. That’s why coming to this forest has such a big meaning for me. That’s why I want to spread that awareness. So if you’re having any thoughts or anything negative in your mind, please consult with someone that’s really close to you that you know you can trust or even a professional because understand that life is so important and never take it for granted. But thank you for tuning into this video. We’re going to continue with the Japan series. So don’t forget to subscribe cuz we’re going to have a whole lot more content coming out.
