YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan – A steady rain didn’t seem to bother Hajime Reed and A.J. Webster on Friday night as Kadena swept its Division I season series against Nile C. Kinnick.

Reed intercepted a pass and rushed for two touchdowns and Webster returned a punt for a score as the Panthers splashed to a 31-0 win over the Red Devils to improve to 2-1 on the season. Kinnick fell to 0-3.

“I just saw the hole, cut left and I just went for it,” said Webster, a former Yokota Panther playing on his former home field. Webster caught a Kinnick punt at the Kadena 32-yard line, cut left into wide open space and up the left sideline into the end zone. “It felt really good,” he said.
