Oblique Seville stormed to a surprise victory in the men’s 100m final of the Tokyo 25 World Athletics Championships on Sunday 14 September, becoming the first Jamaican winner of the event since Usain Bolt in 2015.
Seville passed the line in 9.77 seconds to win gold, with Kishane Thompson taking home the silver medal and 2023 champion Noah Lyles bronze.
