Tokyo 2025: Adelle Tracey fails to advance past first round in 1500m

National record holder Adelle Tracey failed to advance past the first round of the women’s 1500m at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

Tracey finished well down the field in her heat, running 4:11.87 minutes, on the opening day of competition Saturday.

The 32-year-old just missed qualifying for the final two years ago at the championships in Budapest, Hungary, placing 13th in her heat.

She is also scheduled to contest the women’s 800m at the Tokyo championships.
