The kid behind the teppan looked pretty green, but still seemed to pass of a fairly presentable okonomiyaki. How did it taste? I presume this is from the trip you took with Patrick.
I know there are foodies who love Japanese food. I'm not a fan. I came here when seniors were walking around with backs bent because calcium wasn't considered important. Short, calcium deficient, and otherwise not something I wanted for my children. There's no calcium in that food. Try better next time.
Both the Osaka and Hiroshima Okonomiyaki are great, delicious options to have: Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki is good when you are really hungry and want a nutritionally filling, substantial meal; the Osaka-style might be more suitable as a lighter "snack" where you prefer something more uniform, and easier to eat without as much complexity.
