Hey guys, it’s Yuuka! Right now, I’m at Nagoya Station. Today I’m hopping on the Hinotori limited express, heading from Nagoya all the way to Osaka! I got a bunch of comments saying, “You should totally try the Hinotori!” And I’ve been low-key researching it a lot, so I’m super excited! Alright then, let’s go find the platform! The Hinotori connects Osaka and Nagoya, and it first started running on March 14, 2020. It’s a limited express train by Kintetsu. I was kinda surprised when I looked it up, but it launched the exact same day as the Saphir Odoriko I rode last time! It’s like in Pokémon— you’ve got Ruby and Sapphire launching together. So cool! On my way to the platform, I spotted a Hinotori photo booth! But honestly, I don’t have the guts to do it alone… so I’ll just politely walk past this time. Done! Okay… that was way too introvert-core. *I’ll send a gift to whoever shares the cringiest introvert story.* After my little solo photoshoot, I headed to the FamilyMart inside the station. There were tons of Hinotori merch there, but what I was really after was the bento section! A lot of them were sold out—guess it’s that time of day. Luckily, the Hinotori bento was still there, so I’m gonna enjoy it on the train! It’s 8:32 PM right now, and the train leaves at 9, so about 30 minutes to go. I’ll just chill and wait a bit. The Hinotori departs at the top of each hour, and the 9 PM ride is actually the last train of the day. Five minutes before departure, the Hinotori pulled in! The train body is this sleek metallic red, with gold lines along the side and the Hinotori logo on it. It totally gives off premium vibes—so cool! Since this is my first ride ever, I struck a Hinotori pose for the memory. Alrighty, let’s hop on board! Today I’ll be riding in Car No.1, the Premium car! I’m super curious what the seats are like… Ta-da! This is what the Premium Seats look like— super fancy and super spacious! The seat’s really soft and cozy— feels kinda like Kansai’s version of Gran Class. This ride’s gonna be pure comfort. But honestly, it’s so luxurious I’m kinda intimidated… Hinotori is turning me into a literal chicken… And just like that, the Hinotori is off to Osaka-Namba! It’s about a 2-hour ride, and I’m already grinning like a dork from excitement. Thank you for riding the Kintetsu Limited Express Hinotori. This train is bound for Osaka-Namba. It’s the Hinotori No. 71 limited express. We’ll be stopping at Tsu, Yamato-Yagi, and Tsuruhashi, before arriving at Osaka-Uehommachi. *Too dark outside to get a good shot of the view… Let’s check out the seat’s control panel! If you press the top button here— a reading light turns on just like this. You can also fine-tune the recline and footrest! So handy and adjustable. There’s even a seat heater, which is a total lifesaver. *Honestly, this thing has so many features I’m kinda overwhelmed. Here’s what it looks like when you recline it— It leans back a ton! Since it’s a shell seat design, you don’t need to ask the person behind if it’s okay to recline. Perfect for socially awkward folks like me! *It literally feels like I’m in a massage chair. Wait, there’s no table in front of the seat? I looked around a bit and— boom, found it in the most unexpected spot! It was tucked away neatly inside the left armrest. Now it’s time for my solo Hinotori bento moment! Gonna enjoy it all fancy and relaxed. Honestly, I kinda wanted a beer too… but I’ve “graduated,” so I’m trying to behave. …well, I *was* trying, anyway. Wait—okay, so hear me out. Yes, I did graduate from beer… But today I’m on the Hinotori— The Phoenix! Which means rebirth… so… Beer is back, just for today! Hinotori-exclusive beer revival! *Don’t call me out—I say this every time! It tastes extra premium today—so good! Now let’s dig into the bento too! It even came with a menu inside, and it’s packed with so many side dishes—super fancy. My stomach’s about to riot from excitement, just look at this epic lineup. Let’s start with the shumai from Nagoya’s Kotobukiya. Let’s see how it tastes… It’s packed with filling—so ridiculously good! I could honestly eat this every week, no joke. *Makes me wanna go to Nagoya just for this. It was so good, I had to bust out my Hinotori dance. If you’re traveling between Osaka and Nagoya, you should definitely give this a try! So the Premium Seat I’m riding this time— The total price was 5,690 yen, which includes base fare, express fee, and premium car charge. That’s about **$37 USD**. If you take the Shinkansen with an unreserved seat, it’s 5,940 yen (about $39), so the Hinotori is actually a bit cheaper, but it takes about an hour longer. If you’re all about speed, Shinkansen’s the way to go. If you want to chill in comfort, go with Hinotori. It’s nice that you can pick based on your mood or plans. That’s the cool part about this route. But honestly, once you try it, you’re kinda doomed. You’ll be like, “Can I make this trip so I can ride Hinotori again?” Might even plan my destination around it! I was just spacing out, swaying with the train, staring out the window… And I do have one tiny regret. At night, the view’s super hard to see. It’s like 20% scenery, 80% my own reflection. Painful. So I definitely recommend riding during the day if you can! All done—thank you for the meal! That bento was delicious and totally satisfying. Oh! I just noticed this now— there’s actually a blind on the window, and it opens and closes automatically! So cool! That’s super convenient. Honestly, I want one of these in my house. Now that I’m full and happy, I decided to explore the train a bit! Here’s a public washbasin area anyone can use. It even has actress-style lighting and feels really spacious. And surprise—it comes with a dryer too! At this point… I’m speechless. No words. There’s even a cute hand towel area right next to the sink, featuring a design with all the Kintetsu trains lined up. If you close the curtain, you can basically turn it into your own private little room. Love it. And here’s the restroom! Super clean and nice inside— there’s even plenty of space to move around. They’ve also got IC card lockers you can use for free. Apparently you can lock them with your Suica card. Handy! There’s also this bench area on the deck, so you can take a little break away from your seat if you want. The windows here are even bigger than in the cabin, so if you just wanna chill and enjoy the view, this is the best spot for sure. I noticed it while boarding earlier— Car 1 and Car 6 have what’s called a “cafe spot,” where you can grab light snacks or coffee! Yup, you can actually buy stuff here. Even the cup has the Hinotori logo on it—super stylish. Sadly, I’m not really a coffee person… So I got some hot water instead, just to enjoy the vibes. I brought my hot water back to my seat, and when I slid the right armrest, there was a drink holder inside! The cup fits perfectly too. Love the design. By the way, the seat pitch is 130 cm, so even tall folks won’t feel cramped at all. *There are even two bag hooks. Love that! Attention passengers— we’ll be arriving at Tsu in about five minutes. *The display shows the next stops clearly—very helpful! There was a passenger guide in the seat pocket, so I figured I’d show you what’s inside! If it’s your first time riding, like me, this guide makes everything super easy. There’s free Wi-Fi on board, and you can read magazines and books online too! It’s all included—so nice! Okay, time for my usual Wi-Fi speed test! Download speed was 17Mbps— so watching YouTube and stuff should be no problem at all. Everything’s so comfy… I’m getting kinda sleepy. This solo Hinotori day— I think I’ll wrap it up with a quick nap. We’re now approaching Osaka-Namba. We’ll soon be arriving at Namba Station. This train terminates at this station. Thank you very much for riding the Kintetsu Limited Express Hinotori. Hope you enjoyed the trip! My very first time on the Hinotori Limited Express— and it was such a comfortable ride! We’ve arrived at Osaka-Namba! So today I rode the Kintetsu Limited Express Hinotori from Nagoya all the way to Osaka! It was honestly suuuper comfy and really nice. The seats were super spacious too, and sitting in them felt great. Since it has that back shell seat design, you can recline without worrying about the person behind you—loved that. There’s a cafe area on board, and even spaces to chill out! It really felt like a whole new kind of train experience. So fun! When it comes to getting from Nagoya to Osaka, the Shinkansen is definitely the fastest option. But Hinotori is a bit cheaper price-wise, and honestly, in terms of comfort, Hinotori might actually win. Each person gets so much space— that was a huge plus for me. So if I ever need to travel between Nagoya and Osaka again, I think I’ll definitely ride the Hinotori. Anyway, now that I’m in Osaka— the next video’s gonna be in Kyoto, meeting up with someone special! So stay tuned for the collab! Thanks so much for watching all the way to the end! Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe! Bye byeee!
