Kanpur: A Japanese delegation visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Agricultural Science Centre) in Dalip Nagar where a model farm project is set to be implemented to be operated under the Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur.The delegation from the ministry of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, Government of Japan visited the centre on Saturday as part of an agreement signed between the governments of India, Uttar Pradesh, and Japan. The Japanese government plans to introduce advanced agricultural equipment and techniques in India, promoting mechanisation and teaching farmers advanced agricultural practices to reduce costs and increase profits and production.The 15-member Japanese delegation inspected the designated land for the project at the centre. They also toured the soil testing laboratory, various units, and the crop cafeteria, and learned about the entire rice planting process.tnn
