Kyoto in 48 Hours 🇯🇵 – Cozy travel guide for cafés, temples and street food
Hi, welcome Today, we take the train to Kyoto. Bullet Train Bento 960 Yen p. P. (ca 5,6 €/ 6,5 USD) “Are you ready?” Love that there are
cheerful jingles at the stations 🤭 A German license plate 🤔 Y and I are hungry for coffee. Everything looks so mouthwatering 😋 A minimalistc café with lots of seatings. Great coffee ✨ Pudding tastes creamy but… … the sauce tastes a bit burned? 🤔 Nevertheless, a chill spot to
get your daily caffeine! How is Kyoto so picturesque 😭 ✨ On our way to see our first Shinto shrine
in the city. So crowded here 😳 Fried eel. Did you know this shrine
exists since early 8th century? “Where’s Pako again?” No pictures allowed inside
the shrine. If you wanna avoid the crowds,
come early as possible 😅 Foxes (kitsune) are associated with Inari,
a deity of fertility and rice. Tourists come here
for the senbon torii, thousand gates leading up to mount Inari. Tbh, I feel stressed within massive crowds. But the higher or further you go, the crowd weeds out. Y found this hidden pathway
aside from senbon torii. Back to the main path. Walking up the mountain
feels like leg day 😆 The view from Mt. Inari
is just ✨✨ So good!
Now I’m in for some sweet treats. One of my favorites! Y doesn’t like mochi, so he goes for a soft serve. … and the food tour goes on 🤭 Y is tired from walking and
all the crowds… Complimentary snacks Too bad you can’t buy their glasses 😔 We ate so fast, I forgot the name
of this cake 🫣 Strolling randomly around in
some shops. We’re taking the metro back to
the city center. Before the sun sets, we wanna
check out the panoramic view. 900 Yen for p.P.
(ca. 5,2€ / 6 USD) Kyoto Tower-themed Gacha 🤩 I rolled the orange one. Up here, you can see the Imperial Palace. You can hear, it’s quite full
behind me 😅 Feeling hungry again… Y feels like having pasta. Again 😆 An Italian restaurant close to the Kyoto Tower. Brings me straight back to Italy (and I haven’t been there yet). To our surprise, it’s refreshing. This place is quite packed. So be prepared to wait until you’re seated. Great service and al dente noodles –
what else do you want? Feeling a bit exhausted, but
happy after exploring Kyoto 🤗 However, one day is not enough. The city is big! Wrapping up my day with
this ice cream sandwich. But the ice cream has melted.
From Osaka we took the train to explore Kyoto – Enjoy! 😚
