TOKYO: Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, will visit Japan from September 18 to 21 to strengthen Japan-Bahrain ties and attend the Osaka-Kansai Expo, Japan’s Foreign Ministry stated.
During his stay in Japan, Prince Salman will make a state call on Emperor Naruhito and will also have an audience with Crown Prince Akishino.
There is also the possibility that he will meet and have a working dinner with Japanese Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru.
Japan’s Foreign Minister IWAYA Takeshi will also hold a meeting with Prince Salman.
The Foreign Ministry statement said Japan hopes the visit will further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Prince Salman last visited Japan in September 2022 to attend the state funeral of former Prime Minister ABE Shinzo.
