Trip to Hokkaido | OTARU Historic Warehouses District

So I am in the express that took me from Chito Suro airport to it takes about an hour and a half and it’s direct so very convenient. This is the train. We are almost in Otaloo. So, it’s pretty empty now, but if you can see it from the airport, I recommend that you do so because then it gets really full. Uh because everybody wants to go to some room. So, it’s very convenient, but can be can be pretty full. Okay, so here we are. Terminus of the express, airport express. It’s a very cute station. [Music] [Music] Wow. Beautiful. [Music] Otaloo Townscape Award. Hokkaido heritage. Well, the station is really beautiful, so I can understand that. So, I could take the taxi, but the hotel is only 500 m away from the station. So, I’m just going to walk there. Let’s go together. So this is a shortang in the evening. It’s closed. Everything is closed right now. But uh I can’t wait to come and visit tomorrow during daylight. I think that show you know those uh covered you have a roof. It’s shopping streets with no cars and a roof and are really a must go when you visit Japan. Most towns and even sometimes small villages, they have the shorten and I highly recommend it to find good food and like clothes and souvenirs. The town is mine tonight. Check this out. Nobody in the show right now. So the hotel is actually right next to the Changang gates this building. I like all the green. It’s really nice. The vibe so far is is that it’s a very laidback town. Uh but we will find out more about it tomorrow during the day. This is the hotel and we have the convenience store in front of it. Perfect if I need some stuff. Hotel And it looks like there is another shopping street over there. I can hear some music. Yeah. So, we can go and check it out later on. Is it a panda singing? Wow. Nice. Well, this is us, guys. So, this is my room. I didn’t do a booking myself because I’m here. Hi, guys. for an event. So, my customer booked for me and I think it’s supposed to be a single room, but did we get an upgrade? Because I see two beds. So, this looks to me like a double room. I will confirm that tomorrow. It’s very clean and I really love the atmosphere. There is a lot of elegance bathroom with a bath. This is definitely not business hotel room. I will film again tomorrow in the daylight. But let me show you already while it’s still nice before I use it. Everything in there. Toothbrushes, razor, hairbrush, cotton, some air hair band. I think. Hi guys. Two big towels. Well, this is a really like, you know, just nice convenient bathroom with a big We have a big uh closet here. There’s a sleepers. Some amenities. Well, these are pretty basics I would say. You know, some tea, drink coffee. This is really what you would get. This is like the basic staples I would say at a decent hotel. What is this? Did I put some icing here? No. But that means we can ask for some ice, I guess. Cool. And I like the fact that they put the fridge in a cupboard because then you don’t really hear the noise of the cup the the fridge. Let’s see if we have a view. Complimentary water. It’s very very very quiet, guys. Okay, so I can see this is where I want to go, I’m going to wash my hands and then go to that other show. So before I forget and use them. So that’s the laundry bag. But of course we have some pajamas. Pajama guys. Nice. That is just so convenient always that we get pajamas at Japanese hotels. So, it’s definitely cooler than in Tokyo or Kamakura because we’ve been having temperatures in between 26 and 30 lately. So, it’s very pleasant. And that’s another nice thing with these are the best areas. M smells amazing. M like they’re grilling something around here. Let’s see. top. Stop. So we are in the warehouses district close to the canal and there are so many beautiful buildings. I am going to take you around. Just filming as I’m heading back to the hotel. I have shown this live already, but I thought it would be nice to have it in the edited video also. So I would say that for an area that is supposed to be super touristic, it’s much less crowded than Kawagui for example or of course Kamakura. What are you doing? What’s up? Oh man, let’s get So apparently this house was the house of wealthy people. Well, I mean when you see it, you can see that it’s really high-end, super high level stuff. I could live here. Here you have a souvenir shop that is really beautiful. Can go and have a quick peek. That’s old beautiful warehouse with more over there. Lumang a quick peek. How nice is that? So, lots of souvenirs here, guys. It’s a really big big big store with another room at the back. Please go and check it out. You have you have the whole footage on my live of this store. So the place where you have to go if you stay at Oand Hotel or you just you know you are in Otaru in this area is this brick. So this is the magnificent lobby. So beautiful. So guys, tonight this is the event, the Jakar event at Hotel Patel in Otaloo. As I told you, I was here for that amazing event that we’re going to have here. Let me show you the atmosphere. I’m also going to show you how amazing. So, sorry, we are all preparing the room. Oops. So, they will open the curtains. But what I find really amazing here is that you’ve got these amazing views on every side of the restaurant. We are on the 11th floor. Wait for it. Hi, this is Mr. Noda. The view. I’m showing everybody the view. It’s so beautiful. Check this out, guys. It’s really impressive. So, there is this screen to show some information and then the beautiful view. How is that on every side? [Music] This is my first time in Otaroo, but certainly not the last time. I can tell you especially now that I I’ve come to the aent hotel because it’s really nice. Hi. So the tables here is the menu. This is a special night with Jakar Wines Champagne and we are celebrating the 27 years of the authent. and hotel. [Music] We forgot You take pured celery. [Music] Hi. Uh, today I’m going to have the Japanese breakfast at this super nice restaurant. I hope you will enjoy it. So, I got some homemade tomato juice. Everything comes from local uh farms. And the recommendation is to use the butter to make butter soy sauce rice. Sounds really good. So this is our beautiful breakfast, Japanese breakfast. This is a pickled plum. This thing is a pickled plum. This is some asparaguses. This looks like a big dumpling. Not sure. A stick miso soup and the rice. I’m making the butter rice a little. And now we wait until it melts.
