The United States Passport has dropped to 10 in the world rankings. The lowest in 20 years!
heard that the US passport is slipping and it’s not the number one passport in the world anymore. Well, I’m going to tell you why it’s not the number one passport and which one is the number one passport. So, if this is something you’re interested in, then keep watching because this video is for you. Hey fellow travelers, this is Norman Payne from Up Up Up and Away. Thank you for stopping into my channel and welcome back. Today we got some surprising news. The United States passport is not the strongest in the world anymore. It used to be pretty strong back in the days when everything was good, but now it is not the strongest passport in the world. What I’m going to tell you may change the way you see the United States passport from here and forever. The US passport has dropped in its rankings and you know by now that it is not the strongest one in the world. The passports have different rankings and make them more powerful than others. According to a recent report, the United States passport is number 10 and that’s tied with Iceland and Lithuania. This is a significant drop for the United States passport. This is the lowest it’s ever been in the 20 years that the Henley passport index has been in effect. Can you believe it? The United States passport is on the brink of dropping out of the top 10. So, let’s talk about what is the Henley passport index. It is something a lot of people hadn’t heard of. So, I’m going to give you a little insight about it. What it is is a tracking of passports for the last 20 years. It’s been tracking all passports and it tracks the strongest passports for how many countries your passport can get you in without having a visa. It is an essential tool for travelers and it reflects a country’s diplomatic relationships. The top passport right now is Singapore with Japan and South Korea holding the number two spot. Interestingly enough, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Germany, Italy, and Spain are tied for the third spot. And there is a notable jump. India’s passport has jumped from 85 to 77 in just 6 months. That is a significant jump of one passport getting stronger. But I have to tell you all of the passports and what their rankings are. Number one is Singapore. As I said, number two is Japan and South Korea. Number three, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. Number four is Austria, Belgium, Lindenburgg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden. Number five, Greece, New Zealand, Switzerland. Number six, solely held by the United Kingdom. Number seven is held by Australia, Hungria, Malta, Poland. Number eight, Canada, United Arabic immigrants. Number nine, Croatia, Svenia, Slovakia, and number 10, Iceland, Lithuania, and the United States. Now what is happening is is most leaders they are negotiating and talking about who they can let in their country. This is a significant fact right here that if a country is not negotiating who they’re going to let in their country without a visa, then their ranking will fall. With this new $250 to get into our country, you can bet other countries will stop allowing us to travel to theirs without getting a visa. If a country is negotiating their visa waiverss, it shows that they also will have reciprocal agreements to allow the other country into their country. This is a big deal for our leaders to be negotiating these and not closing the door on another country because what happens? We get the door closed in our face as well. Well, what does this mean for a traveler? It means you should know the power of your passport and what is going on with the strength of it. If there’s no negotiation, the passport will drop. That means you will be looking at visas to get to another country just to vacation. So what do you think? Are you surprised about the ranking of our US passport? I was when I found out about it. This is not a good thing. We should be having more reciprocal conversations so that we can get into any country and vice versa. But that’s not happening right now. So, leave me a comment if this was a surprise to you. Let me know what you think. Also, be sure to like this video. Give it a thumbs up.
