Hello. Today’s journey is about “Hokkaido gourmet” and exploring “Sapporo & Furano.” Please enjoy it together with us. Good morning. A wonderful day starts with waking up early. Let’s head straight to breakfast. Hotel mornings are always exciting. Choosing breakfast just the way you like. We got the best seat with a view of the Hokkaido cityscape. Everything looked so good, I took too much. Morning ramen tastes great. After ramen, let’s have some curry. And after curry, yakisoba. Huh? Maybe I’m eating too much? Even overeating can be forgotten with coffee. Alright everyone, let’s depart. First, to Biei and Furano. We’ve arrived in Biei Town. Here’s a quick digest of the scenery. Next, we’ll climb that building you see in the distance. They say the view from the top is spectacular. This is Hokkaido! Apparently, this hill was formed by a volcano? The highlight of traveling is the local food. Let’s eat this yellow one. It’s many times sweeter and tastier than the corn I usually eat. Pretty wild way of eating, right? We’ve moved to a roadside station. What should we eat next? Bought some yogurt! Thick, rich yogurt—so delicious. Oh? Something tasty-looking is on sale. A mixed ice cream of “Biei Milk” and “Hokkaido Melon.” We’re heading to see the Blue Pond in Biei. Let’s just call this blue. Such a beautiful view. Next, to the Shirahige Waterfall. Magnificent. Seeing this scenery makes it certain that today will be a perfect day. We’ve arrived in Furano. Let’s enjoy some melon right away. Sweet and very tasty. A taste comparison of two kinds. Both are definitely melons. That was delicious. After the meal, let’s enjoy a visit to the flower fields. Look, lavender-colored ice cream. It seems they make lavender oil here. At first, I thought they were making milk. There are many lavender-colored souvenirs. You can make scented bookmarks. It looks like a robot, but it’s a distiller. Am I the only one who gets hungry looking at flowers? Freshly fried croquettes are the best! I had seconds 😋 I bought croquettes and cream croquettes. We stopped by a cheese workshop in Furano. Samples are meant to be eaten. This makes me crave red wine. Maybe because of the samples, I’m getting hungry. Ordered a Whole Maison! Cheese Special. The most delicious pizza in the world has just been made. The blue cheese flavor is intense! Pizza and beer—the ultimate combo. I wanted to eat more, but it’s time to head to the next spot. We’ve arrived at the Sapporo Clock Tower. Alright! Let’s go sightseeing! A golden man! Next, the Sapporo TV Tower. Okay everyone, let’s go sightseeing. Looks like we’ll be climbing quite high. What a funny pun… Ah, but this is kind of scary. “Shiroi Koibito” is a famous souvenir everyone knows. Thank you, Sapporo. Quintessa Hotel Sapporo. Where will my room be today? Looks like a spacious room. The toilet and bath are separate! The bed looks perfect for a good sleep. The view is so-so. It’s dinner time. Let’s have ramen two nights in a row. Ordered shrimp salt ramen. The aroma of shrimp and the rich miso broth are amazing. One of the best miso ramens I’ve ever had. That was delicious. Thank you, ramen. Where should I go next? I decided to have a second dinner today. Actually, this was the dinner I had in mind. This is that famous place known for overfilled salmon roe bowls. This was the real purpose of today’s trip. Oisa! Oisa! What an impressive sight. I ate a lot today, but salmon roe bowls are a separate stomach. Each piece is so firm and springy. The salmon roe pops in my mouth—so good. It was worth making a reservation. Day 2 of the trip ends with great satisfaction. I almost forgot my favorite treat before bed. I must have pudding at the end of the day. How was today’s trip?
