Xbox has confirmed the date and time for its Tokyo Game Show 2025 live stream, which will take place on Thursday, September 25, at 7pm JST / 3am Pacific / 6am Eastern / 11am UK. An Xbox Wire post doesn’t say how long the live stream will be, but it does say that it will “feature titles from our creative teams, alongside exciting updates from our partners in Japan, across Asia and around the world,” and included in that might just be the reveal for Forza Horizon 6.
Reports of Forza Horizon 6 being revealed during Tokyo Game Show 2025 cropped up after a now-deleted Instagram post from car Importer Cult and Classic spilled the beans that they had some Playground Games developers at their home base to take photos of a Japanese Kei car for work on the Forza Horizon series.
Kei cars are almost exclusively made and sold in Japan, and while it’s entirely possible that Playground is just adding them to this year’s vehicle roster, it seemed like a major indication that Forza Horizon 6 would be set in Japan. An additional report from Windows Central added that there were “official documents” circulating that confirmed a Tokyo Game Show 2025 reveal for Forza Horizon 6, which was also corroborated by Nate the Hate and Insider-Gaming.
All together, it doesn’t exactly lock in that Forza Horizon 6 will be set in Japan, but it does seem to lock in a TGS 2025 reveal. If it’s not set in Japan, then it’ll be interesting to see where in the world the series is taking players, and what Japanese connections this new entry may have, beyond the inclusion of Kei cars, which made Xbox want to bring it to TGS 2025.
“We know players around the world delight in Japan-inspired content and games developed in Asia, and we can’t wait to connect with players across the globe to show off the incredible talent and creativity behind upcoming games coming to Xbox,” the Xbox Wire post adds.
For those in attendance at the show, there will also be a public demo of Ninja Gaiden 4, which Wccftech got the chance to preview last month at Gamescom 2025. Xbox will also have ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X units at their booth for people to test out, just as they did at Gamescom 2025, ahead of their release this coming October.
