Walking through the endless red Torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto feels magical — but also a little overwhelming. With around 12,000 steps leading all the way to the summit, the trail is as challenging as it is breathtaking.
Each Torii gate carries a donor’s name and date, making this walk not just a physical journey, but a cultural one. Somewhere along the way… we found ourselves lost on the trail — surrounded by beauty and tradition at every step.
