【Solo Travel】Hello Kitty Bullet Train in Japan|Osaka to Fukuoka Ride
Heading to Cat Island
on the CAT bullet train! Current location: Osaka I really want to visit
Cat Island—paradise for cats! So today,
I’m traveling from Osaka to Fukuoka. I’m now at Shin-Osaka Station,
where I’ll board the Shinkansen! I booked my ticket online
and printed it out at the machine. And today’s train is…
the Hello Kitty Shinkansen! This kitty train totally
gets me in the mood! One thing I can’t skip
on a Shinkansen trip—bento! So many options! What even is this?! LOL “When there are too many choices,
people can’t decide…” Then I spotted the cutest bento ever! But for a guy in his 40s like me,
it might be a bit too small to fill me up. Got my bento and tea—
now heading to the platform. “Bento is a travel essential!” – by JTE The Hello Kitty Shinkansen only runs
once a day from Hakata. From Shin-Osaka,
there’s only one train per day. So if you’re in Tokyo or Kyoto,
you can’t ride it—just FYI! The pink train is here! Whoa!! It left Hakata this morning
and just arrived here. Now it’s turning around
to head back to Hakata. It’s even cuter
than I imagined! Seeing it in person,
even a guy in his 40s can’t stop grinning. It’s like…
that first love kind of excitement. Haha There’s about 10 minutes now
for cleaning the inside. Which means…
perfect time to film the exterior! Hello Kitty holding strawberries—
a Fukuoka specialty. Hello Kitty with takoyaki—
Osaka’s famous snack. The cleaning is done—
it’s time to board! I can’t wait to see
what’s inside this world. Time to step into
Kitty World! This is the non-reserved car,
so you can sit wherever you like. What a lovely color scheme! Wait… Kitty is everywhere?!
This is wild! So many Kitties…
I’m actually kinda shy now. Even behind me—Kitty! Of course, even the window shades
have Hello Kitty on them! LOL Each shade has
a different design! This is totally Hello Kitty quality—
they didn’t skip a single detail. But since the train is older,
there are no power outlets. By the way, only cars 1 and 2
have Hello Kitty decorations! It’s 11:37 AM,
leaving exactly on time. Bye, Osaka! Right after departure, people rushed
to car 1 where the shop is! And of course, another round of
photos with the Kitty statue begins. The line doesn’t look like it’ll end soon,
so I’ll start lunch first. Here’s today’s bento! It’s takomeshi—octopus rice
in a pink pot. It’s got Hello Kitty and an octopus drawn on it.
So cute! The pot is packed
full of rice. And it’s loaded with toppings! This fish cake
has such a sad face… And yet I bit into Kitty’s face
without mercy. LOL I heard octopus is hard to catch
in this area recently. So I’m eating it slowly,
grateful for every bite. I ate all the side dishes first,
so now it’s just rice. LOL The pot is pretty heavy,
and the design is really well made. Feels like half the price
went into the pot. Haha I seriously couldn’t decide
whether to keep it or toss it. In the end…
I left it behind. Too heavy. LOL The Hello Kitty train runs
on the “Kodama” Train. Unlike Hikari or Nozomi,
it stops at every station. So it often gets passed
by faster trains. It’s kinda sad when a train
zooms past us like “whoosh!” LOL From Osaka to Hakata,
Nozomi takes 2.5 hours. Kodama takes…
a full 4.5 hours. That’s a whole 2 hours longer! If you’re not in chill mode,
this ride isn’t for you. LOL Honestly, I might be the only one
riding all the way to Hakata. Most people seem to get off
at Himeji or Hiroshima. And just like that,
we’ve arrived at Himeji Station. This is where the World Heritage site,
Himeji Castle, is located. After leaving Himeji,
things have quieted down inside. Now’s the perfect time
to meet Kitty again. So yep—I’m heading back
to see Hello Kitty! There were so many people earlier,
but now it’s totally empty. LOL Hello, Kitty! Can’t take a photo with you
because everyone’s watching us. LOL Even the luggage rack
is Kitty-themed! So it’s true…
She’s five apples tall. Let’s head to the deck
between the cars. Wait… who is this? No way…
Even the bathroom has Hello Kitty?! LOL I found one little mouse inside. Even the sink area
is super cute. Another mouse spotted! Looks like the water areas
are handled by mice.
That’s a bit *too* realistic. LOL Alright, time for the main event—
Car No. 1: HELLO PLAZA! Whoa!!
This pink room is TOO cute! And guess what…
I’m the only guest. A guy in his 40s. And the staff?
Two young women… This is seriously awkward.
One middle-aged guy in a pink room. LOL This situation is painfully awkward. LOL I should’ve come here
when it was more crowded… For some reason,
a video of a middle-aged man bathing is playing. LOL This super cute room
and a naked guy on screen? That’s just weird. What does he have to do
with Hello Kitty anyway? LOL According to my lip-reading skills,
he’s saying something like this… “Ahhh… hot springs are the best!” This is the current scene… A guy in his 40s
staring seriously at a naked man in his 60s. And then the young female staff
starts staring at me weirdly. Felt like I had to buy something…
So I went for a capsule toy. Then I made my escape…
like I was fleeing. LOL Dang it! It won’t open. Someone help me open this! Top 3 Hardest Things to Open This thing cost 500 yen… Guess I’ll use it
to store my earphones? Now let’s check out
the rear cars. So… Hello Kitty
is celebrating 50 years! Being loved for 50 years?
That’s pretty amazing. Here’s some Kitty trivia! She has a twin sister! Her name is…
Mimmy! You can tell them apart
by the ribbon position. LOL From car 3 onward,
everything looks normal. Feels like I’ve been dragged
back to reality. LOL Well, might as well go
all the way to car 8. Wait… is that a driving simulator
in the last car?! Every boy’s dream—
this is seriously cool. Luckily, no one else is here
so I’m going for it! LOL Departure! Let’s roll! Pantograph… check! Thanks to my awesome driving skills,
we’ve hit 300 km/h! And here’s the view
from a 300 km/h cockpit! I had my fun—
time to head back to my seat. By the way, if you get a reserved seat,
I recommend car 6. It used to be a first-class car,
so the seats are kinda fancy! The announcement says we’ll stop at Mihara
for 6 minutes. I’m gonna try grabbing a drink
from the platform vending machine! My heart’s racing!
If I miss the train, I’ll need a new ticket! Also want to snap a pic of the train
for the thumbnail! Run, me—RUN! This platform doesn’t have
any safety fences. Which means…
I can capture the full train! Say cheese! This is a minor station, so the vending machines
are only in the middle of the platform. LOL Yup… I’m the only one
doing something this dumb. LOL Found it! Coffee? Tea?
Whatever—I’ll take anything! Hurry up and give me my change! Even when rushing,
I always grab my change. LOL Whew… I made it back! That was way too risky.
Never doing that again! Totally feel like chugging
some ice-cold tea right now. LOL My travel buddy is giving me
this totally fed-up look. LOL Like, “Why are you doing
such ridiculous stuff?” 2.5 hours after leaving Shin-Osaka,
we’ve arrived in Hiroshima! Most of the tourists
got off here. Now there’s literally
no one left but me. LOL We’ve entered
the Kyushu region! Now arriving at Kokura,
Fukuoka’s second biggest station. A bunch of businessmen in suits
got on all at once. They look kinda puzzled
by the super-cute train. LOL Yeah… business suits and Hello Kitty
don’t exactly match. LOL After about 4.5 hours,
we’ve arrived in Hakata! Saying goodbye
to Hello Kitty as I get off. Thanks, Hello Kitty Shinkansen! Hakata Station is still huge! Time to grab some food! If you’re in Hakata,
you’ve gotta try Ichiran. Heading to the closest one
from the station. Believe it or not,
this is my first time at Ichiran! I heard the ordering system
is kinda unique. So I studied up
on YouTube beforehand. LOL I’m not picky,
so I just checked “Medium” for everything. LOL This solo booth seating…
That’s classic Ichiran. No one watching me from the side—
I can totally focus on my ramen. A peaceful ramen moment,
with zero distractions… pure joy. Starting with the broth… The flavor spreads in my mouth—
it’s insanely good! No strong pork smell either—
love that. The thin noodles soak up
the soup perfectly. Delicious! The soft, tender pork
melts in your mouth. The broth is just too good—
I can’t stop sipping. LOL Too much salt?
Nope. Totally worth it. LOL That was amazing—thank you! Next, I’m heading to see
a 25-meter Gundam statue! Just a 3-minute train ride
from Hakata Station. Not a Gundam expert,
but I love giant things. LOL Like the Nana-chan statue
in Nagoya. LOL It’s a 9-minute walk
from Takeshita Station. Whoaaa!
It’s way bigger than I expected! 25 meters tall—
same as a blue whale, I think? The legs alone
are super intense! And yep…
this thing actually moves! Rode the Hello Kitty train,
saw the Gundam… Totally satisfied! Walking back to my hotel
through Nakasu, known for food stalls. It smells amazing…
but I’m skipping it tonight—early start tomorrow. Because tomorrow…
I’m finally going to Cat Island! My cat adventure
is coming in the next video!

So good 😊 I have heard many about these Shinkansen metro in Japan. They are fast, modern and convinient ❤
😊
Yeah, I rode this train in October 2024 from Himeji to Hiroshima (my Bento was Anago-Set + Asahi Super Dry) and, guess what: for few minutes I was also alone with two young female attendents at Kitty Plaza, a gai-jin in his 40's. Double awkwardness unlocked.🤣
Hope your channel will be known by more people
9:22 LOL its entertaining and my heart also pounding when i watch it 😀
