Xsolla, one of the global leaders in video game commerce (CEO: Chris Hewish, HQ: Los Angeles, USA), is pleased to announce the appointment of Eiko Kokubun as Head of Japan, effective September 8, to further strengthen support for Japanese game companies seeking global expansion.

Prior to joining Xsolla, Kokubun held key leadership roles in both domestic and international business development. After gaining overseas business experience during his assignment in Hong Kong for a Japanese company, he went on to serve in FP&A and business development roles at global media and entertainment companies such as Amazon and Disney. At a Sony Pictures-owned pay TV channel, he served as Vice President and General Manager, overseeing the entire business. He later joined DAZN, where he led live sports streaming operations and B2B new business sales as a senior executive. Most recently, he served as an Executive Officer at Tsuburaya Productions, where he led high-level strategic projects.

With a strong track record in strategic planning and P&L responsibility, Kokubun brings a wealth of experience and insight to his new role at Xsolla.
