Niigata Beer Tour | E14 “She Gon’ Be Drunk in the Temple” | Pinpoints
The heavier the head of rice, the deeper it bows. [Music] Listen, the Japanese have two faces. H and Tatamaya. Hane is what most people see of Japanese. It’s the benevolent and superficial face. Tatamaya is someone’s real personality. It takes years of trust for them to reveal it or a few beers. And when they show it, you realize how fun the Japanese really are. [Music] [Music] This is Womanosato, a brewery and cafe complex created by Hakesan Brewery at the foot of Mount Hawkeye. There’s 16 facilities in the complex with most being beer or wine tasting. There also tours. [Music] This place is on point. [Music] This restaurant has a brand of beef called Kurog Wu beef. It’s natu beef aged at snow temperatures. This is snow hikari pork raised just outside the complex and hand selected and aged on site. [Music] I ate and drank too much. [Music] I’m coming back here one day. [Music] [Music] Today was a good day. I’mma have a serious hangover driving in the mountains tomorrow. [Music] [Applause] [Music]
I spend a lazy Sunday in Niigata eating and drinking too much. I travel to Minami Uonuma Valley to see the Uonuma no Sato Complex and the Uonuma Famous Paddie Fields. Today was simply fun!
