CAMP ZAMA, Japan – Sometimes, the mental game is just as important as the physical aspects of football.

Humphreys fine-tuned the former during the week, which led to a solid performance Saturday, getting two touchdown runs from Joshua Canion and two scoring passes from Bradley Miller in a 41-20 romp over Nile C. Kinnick at Zama’s Barry Huitema Memorial Field.

“It feels amazing, to get to this point for these kids,” said coach Reggie Meno of the Blackhawks, who improved to 1-1 following last Saturday’s 13-7 loss at Kubasaki.
