Travel to Niigata City | E15 “Yamato Nadeshiko” | Pinpoints

Black women will always be the most beautiful to me, but this is a different type of beauty. [Music] I didn’t make it too far last night. Folks, folks, and happens this morning. If you swim 600 miles that way, you’ll reach North Korea. [Music] If you drive 6 minutes that way, you’ll reach Nigata. This is a port city with a population around 1 million. [Music] The city is famous for its lush snowfalls and topshelf saki. If you’ve eaten expensive sushi, odds are that rice came from here. The traditionally cultivated short grain rice is called koshi hikari. Remember those rice patties yesterday? [Music] Natada also has over 350 mi of cycling roads and the people are very nice. [Music] like this couple. [Music] They were taking wedding pictures but stopped just to talk to me. Genuine kindness. [Music] [Music] Imagine if someone walked into your church or mosque or synagogue to take pictures during service. Tourists do it every day in Japan. I try to be as inconspicuous as possible. The Japanese just smile politely. That’s their tat. But their hon is saying [Music] Fore! [Music] Foreign! Foreign! [Music]

An tire blowout lands in the city of Niigata. Waiting for repairs I spend a few hours visiting Hakusan Park and Shrine. Another chill day…
