Osaka – Most UNDERRATED City In The World? | Vlog

[Music] and I think as a place to visit. Osaka Castle is actually pretty chill. I don’t think the camera picks up the scale, but look at the masonry on the on the walls here. This is 600 years old. [Music] This is actually a dojo. Like they actually still use this to practice and train. Well, they do Italian food better in Japan, too. So, we just had the freshest salad of my life. It was so fresh. The freshest salad I ever had was the bologoney. It was amazing. [Music] They have all these cute little stores on the way up to the mountain here in the middle. This is gorgeous. Look at these woods up here. Oh my god. Just goes on endlessly. Yeah, these flowers look fake, but they’re actually real. We just stumbled upon this temple in the middle of this mountain. It’s pretty nice. Right before you enter the temple, you get it from his mouth. So, it’s clean. So smart. Everywhere we walk in this park is so scenic. It’s like a animal. [Music] They have like a freshly cooked au fish. It’s really cool. Damn, that looks hella relaxing. Bring your lunch here. Eat right by the river, Japanese style. It’s really nice to have the bench here. This is cute. Came from this grandma deep fried mommy leaf, which is a Japanese maple. Oh, look at this cute little trash truck. So, we just ordered a a gallette here. Finally got our dog sobba. And the lady is so nice. She she noticed we’re sharing food and she gave me a little like small portion, but actually a small portion is pretty normal, too. And then we have this duck soup we’re going to pour into the soba and like mix it together. It’s going to look good and delicious. So, I’m super excited to try it out. Can’t wait. So, we just slept our Airbnb. That does smell amazing. We’re here. Right around the corner, there’s another hidden coffee shop in this alley. And this one takes credit card, which is cool. Got myself a caramel latte drink this time. Mr. Layers looks beautiful. And look how fresh these strawberry is. I’m sorry. So, we made our way here to the lover shrine. We’re just walking around the Osaka randomly. And then you have all these wishes here. This kind of reminds me of Bryant Park in New York City. These outstanding roses. [Music] Look how new everything. Yeah, they renovated this really nicely. I’ve never seen this before, but they have blind football here. You know what? I take back everything I said about being an ugly city. This is beautiful. Dy wants me to ride this stupid thing. I don’t know, man. I’m a little scared. Daisy really wants to ride this ferris wheel that I think is like lowkey kind of sketch. But all right, it’s like this and hubby’s face is like this. Well, it’s different. I think that thing comes down. You were so sure. I think this is the second scariest secret other than the Yeah, that’s what I was saying. So if you want to see something ominous, it’s like the messenger of a god. Like wow, look how appealing the view is. That’s a beautiful view here in the boat. Daisy, how long is this? 15 minutes. Jesus. It rotates. Isn’t that cool? Hi. Hi. So reach the technology zoo. Wow. They even have maps in English and Chinese here. And it was only 500 yen to enter. So it’s like $3 a person to go check out the zoo. Very fair deal. [Music] Oh my god. [Music] Oh, isn’t that that same brand of like uh takoyaki is the one we saw in Dotoburi? Bro, they got Turkish kebab in Japan in in Osaka. And even though Shinsi Kai might look like it’s from a Fallout game, it still has something most places don’t have. And that’s a clean subway station. So, we exited Shinsi Kai. And this area honestly is lowkey ugly, but it is very fun to walk around. Daisy, I see a McDonald’s and a Levi store. Are we walking into America? Oh, yes. So, this area is called American Luda, which means they got the gangster stuff down. Steering wheel is on the left. Oh, that’s cool. Just like back home. This is cool. But this is very not American. This like it’s very This is a very strange se street, Daisy. Very strange. It still kind of has the vibes though, right? You got the graffiti, hip-hop music, the weed shops. This is where they get their clothes. I can That makes sense. Like a West Coast style. Very West Coast style. This is all like very LA style. Although I think it’s kind of cute. In Osaka, there’s an LA town and in uh in LA there’s a Tokyo town. New York. I love New York in Japan. It’s hilarious. [Music] So, we got this uh pancake dish here. Amazing. And it came with ice cream. Yeah. So, this is on a shima. Yeah. We ran into a random I guess like a This is a beautiful little island here in Oasaka. These are such beautiful roses. They smell really strong. They do. All garden. All the roses down there. We should get some Charleston roses for our backyard. These look great. Look at this little stream here. That’s cute. That is so Japanese, right? Oh, Daiso. Daiso. Yeah. So, we just went to another hair shop here in the Dolan Boy, and I think it was like 25 or 2,300 yen. Included a shave, a haircut, and eyebrows. So, we just walked about 6 or 7 minutes south of the Dolan Boy, maybe 10. And now we’re entering the electronics district down here. We were going to buy the uh Gotcha, but we couldn’t get the exchange for the 500 and the 5100s. And there’s no working change machinery, right? Unless Wait, you actually found them? No way. All right, so we we found the change and now we’re going to get our uh our denta. It’s like a PokΓ©ball. All right. All right. Turn on. Turn on. [Music] One thing we’re learning is that if you go to the more authentic place, usually food’s going to be higher quality. You start seeing foreign menus, it gets a little scary sometimes. Very sh. So, we’re doing one final night walk here in Osaka before we head back. We’re actually coming up on this really cool looking park over here. Isn’t that a castle? Look. Is it distance? Oh my god, it is. Look at that. Osaka Castle. We didn’t even expect to come across it. Just riding with the boys across the bridge to the other side of the city. [Music]

Osaka is frequently overlooked compared to Tokyo and Kyoto, but it is an outstanding city in its own right. The people are more friendly, the food is as good as Paris (yes, really!), and it’s an outstanding hub where you can take quick and affordable day trips to places like Kobe, Wakayama, Nara, and especially Kyoto.

🎏 We put together our entire 5-day Osaka trip into one video β€” all the places we visited and the amazing food we tried. We’d like to think we went to some spots a lot of people frequently ignore – Osaka honestly became one of our favorite cities, because there’s so many little hidden places that can be discovered simply by walking around.

🎏 We mixed must-see spots with hidden places and local favorites we stumbled across along the way.

🎏 Whether you’re planning a trip or just enjoy travel vlogs, we hope this gives you a few ideas for your own adventure. πŸ™‚
