【大阪関西万博】人気パビリオンを当日予約で攻略する1日|いのちの未来|EXPO2025 Osaka Kansai Travel

Hello everyone, this is Motty. Yumeshima, an artificial island in the Osaka Bay Area . Today, I’m traveling to the Osaka-Kansai Expo. EXPO 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo West Gate : The first-ever “life”-themed Expo. A place for everyone to think about the future of society and interact and discuss. Travel the world without a passport. *No advance reservations necessary, just reservations on the day.* Oman (a country on the Arabian Peninsula): A story woven by earth, water, and people. A glass-walled corridor like an oasis with flowing water. I was able to enter with almost no wait. The light and glass installation and the sculptures reflected in the mirrors were wonderful. ” Where Water Meets Earth”: A video introducing Oman’s history and culture. The soap bubbles smelled like Oman. The garden featured the royal flower, the “Royal Rose,” and a fig tree. Stylish zaisu chairs in the cafe space. It looks like you can try out traditional board games. Time for a commemorative photo while there aren’t many people. A delightful photo packed with Expo elements. *Luxurious Myaku Myaku mounts are also available for purchase for a fee. Turkmenistan (a country in western Central Asia). Creating a better tomorrow A mysterious country said to be a dictatorship See for yourself what kind of country it is with social media Powerful narration and impressive visuals You will feel a momentum not found in other countries Various fields such as history, culture and education are introduced Alabai, the national dog of Turkmenistan The Japanese subtitles are too powerful… Just watch Alabai! We moved to the exhibition area on the second floor. A precious presence that supported people’s lives in harsh environments. A national hero who also appears in sports. We’ve been talking about dogs, but horses are also important. The golden Akhal-Teke horse, native to Turkmenistan, was also on display. Beautiful horse tack was also on display. A pavilion with impressive video and exhibits. The Republic of Malta (an archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea) Rides the wave, seizes opportunity. On the left is the armor of the Knights of Malta, active during the Crusades. On the right is armor sent by a Japanese mission 160 years ago. It’s interesting to see how the shapes differ greatly due to differences in tactics, etc. Inside is a theater and replica exhibits. You can touch the exhibits directly and feel the texture (a rare thing!). The immersive theater introduces the landmarks and history. Experience Maltese culture through food: ¥1,400. Intangible Cultural Heritage “Il Futira”: A salty bread harder than focaccia. A softer and harder bread than you’d imagine. The next pavilion we’re likely to visit is… Signature Pavilion “The Future of Life” by Ishiguro, a leading expert in robotics. Hiroshi’s signature pavilion. Stand by with bone conduction earphones. Live 50 years into the future, discover a new life, discover an unknown world, this is what the Expo is all about! A world 50 years into the future where androids coexist . Androids are also passengers on trains. A being beyond AI that can express emotions. How did the people at the 1970 Osaka Expo feel as they looked towards 2020? A story that depicts the desires and doubts about human life . To exist as an android, or to live out her life? Did Matsuko choose to be an android? “Momo”, an android dancing in a world 1000 years in the future, expresses a free body and mind, free from constraints. We received stickers at the exit. Hopes and anxieties for the future. It gave us an opportunity to think about “life” from the android’s perspective. It has a distinctive appearance that resembles a giant lotus flower. From 2023 onwards, on the international stage, “India” will be renamed to “Bharat” in Hindi. The name comes from the Bharata clan, who appear in the great Indian epic poem “Mahabharata”. Mayur, which means “peacock” in Sanskrit . Starting with an introduction to traditional culture and history, the tour then went on to talk about space technology aimed at the moon and the latest railway carriages that overturn previous images. Is this the latest sleeper train? A model train shop? Many traditional crafts from Bharat are on display. We head to the hidden Commons F, where we find the Kazakhstan booth. Kazakhstan (a Central Asian country) is a pavilion where you can experience a tour. We then head to a theater modeled after a mobile tent called a “yurt.” We see “Shanirak,” a circle with three intersecting lines, which appears as a symbol of Kazakhstan. The highlight of the exhibit is the world’s most advanced medical technology, “ALEM,” a groundbreaking device that can keep organs functioning outside the body for over 24 hours in an environment close to a living body. This is one of only four such devices in the world, and it’s a rare example. For lunch, we went to the restaurant in the German pavilion, which we didn’t have to enter the pavilion to enjoy. Berlin Currywurst ¥2,400, Cheese Spaetzle ¥1,800, Radler (a mix of beer and lemonade) ¥1,200, Radller (Lemonade Beer) 300ml. Elderberry Mint Lemonade, with a sweet, refreshing flavor, was easy to drink. ¥590 Elderflower Mint Lemonade 200ml Honestly, it’s quite pricey (around ¥6,000) , but it’s worth eating at the German Pavilion. On a hot afternoon, I went to the Commons Pavilion for a booth hopper signature pavilion called “An Adventure Through Life,” a pavilion created by an animation director. There were a few things to note: the video, music, and floor vibrations all synchronized. “ANIMA!” is a musical of life you can feel with your whole body. Cell division and cute characters. A strange atmosphere you don’t usually experience. Life changes shape, connecting . Feel the connection of life. Folk music was played on stage, and you could cool down in the large roof ring, which lets you enjoy the Expo without entering the pavilion ! Signature Pavilion “Better Co-Being” produced by data scientist Miyata Hiroaki. A high-tech pavilion linked to smartphones with a stone-like device called “echorb.” A mysterious sensation controlled by the stone device. An amazing device that even links to your heartbeat. The only outdoor pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai Expo. Enjoy different atmospheres depending on the weather. View while looking at supplementary information on your smartphone. A sun catcher that expresses diversity. Rainbows appear depending on the conditions at the time, such as the amount of water and weather conditions. A work is created when various conditions come together. Data collected by participants’ echorbs during the tour is combined, and a unique image appears on the sphere. I received a gift at the end of the tour . I’ll open it when I get home. As the sun begins to set, I head to the large roof ring, which is 2,025 meters in circumference. The world’s largest wooden building. Move to the West Gate with eMover. A “too heavy stamp” at a hidden spot. A collaboration with JR West’s character “Iko-chan.” A figure that can be hung on the edge of a cup . The future depicted from the perspective of the industrial sector. Kawasaki Heavy Industries proposes future trains and “ALICE” to explore future mobility. A cabin called “Alice Cabin” that can be moved around like a container and used for traveling by train, ship, and plane without changing. A futuristic wind-powered ship that uses sea breezes as its energy source . It makes you think about air resistance… We mainly went to see Alice Cabin, but it seems it would take more than an hour to explore the area at a leisurely pace. A nighttime water show with the theme of “Water and Air” A spectacular show (approx. 25 minutes) that will brighten up the night of the Expo You can even receive this impressive Egg of Possibility from Life Park while moving to the East Area and start off Play a game related to power generation to accumulate “energy potential” The 15 minutes will fly by, and then you’ll head to the theater *If you’re not good at light effects, please skip this * A spectacular performance that you can’t imagine from a game This may have been the most impactful installation of the day One chance for ¥1,000… Two chances for ¥2,000… No losers! Get a furoshiki and eco bag Enter a mysterious world from Mirror Pond Pick up a crystal that turns into a mirror and place it in “Nomo Forest” … Your personality will be analyzed and your very own butterfly will be born! Sensitivities and awareness vary from person to person, and “the way we perceive things changes greatly depending on our mindset.” This pavilion inspires our everyday perspectives, which tend to be trapped by stereotypes. Today, “null²,” featuring a lot of “return” and “receive,” plays a mysterious background music experience: “Goodbye Null Forest.” I’d like to join null² next! After 9:30 PM, the venue enters “welcome back” mode. We head to the gate, enjoying the night atmosphere. This time, we took a trip to the Osaka-Kansai Expo. Vague hopes and anxieties about the future, the connection between the future we aim for and “life,” and the various pavilions provided an opportunity to design a “future society where life shines.” Traveling the world without a passport: Let’s set off again to design the future! Thank you for watching until the end.
