[Music] [Music] Hello, everyone. This is Natsumi Yamashita. This time, we’re doing the Kamakura straight wave edition. It’s a straight wave, and I’m doing both this wrap and flowing wave, and maybe some tricks. So, I’ve put together a video of me riding all of those waves, so please watch until the end. There are some pretty impressive rides here and there, so I hope it’s helpful. It’s a little tricky, but you go over the gap here, and then you turn, and then you get to that final part, which requires some skill. Now, I’m spinning over the gap and wrapping at the end. Because I did the spin over the gap, it’s a bit of a 180-esque. Now, I’m going over the gap and doing a down-the-line 180. An open-side one-eighty. This kind of trick is also something you do when flowing. So, I’m riding from behind, and I did a flowing 180. And I managed a bit of a layback. I’m not sure if I’d complete it in a competition, but I managed quite well. I think I was a little late with this 180. I think I was a little late in moving my eyes, so when I finally landed, I lost my balance like this. Okay, I think I’ll turn back to the lap side. Yeah. Even after a solid turn, I was accelerating, which feels pretty good. When the wave is somewhat predictable, it’s really important to decide which way to go. Now, let’s flow while spraying. And now, it’s like moving forward while doing a half spin. Now, run a little diagonally, correct your trajectory, and flow . Good. Being able to correct your trajectory like this is definitely a useful technique. Oh, this one’s a little out, to the flow side. Good. That’s a pretty beautiful turn. [Music] I think I should have corrected the trajectory a little , but after the turn, I corrected the trajectory and hit it once. I’m trying out little variations like that. Well, I could have hit this one on the front side, but I corrected the trajectory and hit this one on the back side. It’s possible that I wouldn’t have gotten as much power if I had hit it on the front side. Now… [Music] Now, over the gap, this one pumps up a little, and the tube goes over. That ‘s how it felt. That one would have been better if you’d done one trick. Okay, this is good. Down-the-liner grab, complete with a half spin . It feels like you’re doing a half spin while grabbing at the end. Now, one gap. That one’s pretty clean, going from the lap line to the tube. That feels good. [Music] Takeoff and lap side. If I’d accelerated, I’d have liked to do a trick here. I think I could have done an alley-hoop. Here’s a turn and a 180. Going down, it ‘s a one -eighty. Now, pump a little diagonally. This one’s also a eighty-eighty. [Applause] Now, a frontside drift. Nice. That liner line. That was a nice one. Now, this one’s a half spin, then a stall and heads for the tube. That’s a switch trick. That’s an air. A double grab. It feels like you’re doing some pretty good riding like this. That trick was good, too. Ripping, spin takeoff, and a bill turn. I’ll try a bill turn too . Is that a switch? Switch and rap. Nice. Highly accomplished. I’d really like to do this on a slightly bigger wave, but it’s not too bad. [Music] Now, take off. This one’s a little tricky, but it’s a liner line straight into a spinner. Well, it’s a little hard to see with the water droplets on it, but it’s more like a boardslide on the other side of a sideway. Ripping with a shifty sideway, and then finally , correcting the launch and putting this together nicely. Now, take off. This one has pretty good initial speed. Now, a downliner, this turn, a bit hesitant, but an open side spin into a 180. It looks like you’re doing some pretty good riding , and I hope it’s helpful for tricks and turns.
