Square Enix has revealed its lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2025, featuring hands-on demos for upcoming titles like Octopath Traveler 0, Killer Inn, and The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. The event runs from September 25 to 28, with Square Enix hosting its own exclusive booth throughout.
At the 2024 Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix showcased titles like Visions of Mana, Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, and PowerWash Simulator. The company also offered fans hands-on experiences with popular games from the Dragon Quest series. This year’s lineup looks just as exciting, especially with free playable demos for some of Square Enix’s most anticipated releases.

According to Square Enix’s official announcement, it will bring four upcoming titles to Tokyo Game Show 2025: The Adventures of Elliot, Killer Inn, Octopath Traveler 0, and The Ivalice Chronicles. The lineup looks especially exciting for Octopath Traveler fans, as The Adventures of Elliot is developed by Team Asano, the studio behind the series, and uses the same HD-2D visuals as many other Square Enix titles. Final Fantasy Tactics fans can also look forward to trying the remake’s demo ahead of its launch on September 30. These on-site experiences will also feature freebies, such as stickers and thematic collectibles, as well as some limited-time giveaways.
One of the most intriguing titles at Square Enix’s booth is Killer Inn. The upcoming asymmetrical PvP game will offer beta test participation codes to fans ahead of its Steam playtest. Supplies will be limited, with codes distributed only to those who demo Killer Inn at the Tokyo Game Show. The event will also give fans of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade a chance to try it out before its launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S.

Square Enix Live Broadcasts During Tokyo Game Show 2025
In addition to on-site events and experiences, Square Enix will host several live broadcasts for fans around the world. On September 27, the company will air a special broadcast for the anticipated Octopath Traveler 0, followed by a stage event for Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake. On September 28, Square Enix will stream four broadcasts: a behind-the-scenes look at the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game, a Super Dragon Quest X special, and stage events for Final Fantasy Tactics — The Ivalice Chronicles and Final Fantasy 14.
