US Open semi-finalist Naomi Osaka and rising star Alexandra Eala are set to light up the city’s tennis scene in October, after both committing to play in the Prudential Hong Kong Open.

Also in the field will be world No 9 Daria Kasatkina, who Osaka beat in the third round at Flushing Meadows last week, and Ajla Tomljanovic, the winner of the WTA 125 event at Victoria Park Tennis Stadium last year.

Public tickets – ranging from the cheapest at HK$160 (US$20.52) to the most expensive ones at HK$970 (US$124.38) – for the coming Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open will be available from September 20.

The qualifying rounds – from October 25 to 26 – and the main draw’s opening day on October 27, will all be open to the public for free.
