Adobe has announced the appointment of Ben Goodman as President of Asia Pacific (APAC) and Digital Experience (DX) Japan.

In this new position, Goodman will oversee Adobe’s business operations across the APAC region while also leading the company’s Digital Experience business in Japan. He will report directly to Stephen Frieder, Chief Revenue Officer, Adobe Enterprise.

Extensive experience

Goodman brings over 20 years of leadership experience in APAC and Japan. His career includes significant roles in driving organisational transformation at multinational and regional firms. Prior to joining Adobe, Goodman spent three years at Okta, where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific and Japan. In this capacity, he led the company’s regional operations and implemented its growth strategy.

This appointment signifies Goodman’s return to Adobe, as he previously served as Managing Director of Digital Experience Sales for APAC during 2019 and 2020.

Leadership alignment

“Ben’s leadership experience aligns perfectly with Adobe’s ambitions in APAC and Japan. He brings a strong vision for growth, a strong record of delivering customer value and a proven history of building successful teams across this diverse region,” said Frieder.

Adobe appears to be looking to leverage Goodman’s familiarity with the region and its own operations as it seeks to expand both its core and digital experience offerings.

Focus on innovation

“APAC and Japan are emerging leaders in adopting and scaling innovation like AI, and businesses are looking to seize this opportunity to deliver highly relevant and engaging customer experiences. I am energised at the opportunity to foster Adobe’s collaboration with our customers and partners to drive experience-centric growth,” said Goodman.

Goodman’s comments underscore the increasing adoption of artificial intelligence and related technologies among businesses in both APAC and Japan, and emphasise Adobe’s intention to position itself at the forefront of delivering customer-focused digital experiences in the region.

Adobe’s role

Adobe supports customer experience orchestration (CXO) by bringing together creativity, marketing, and artificial intelligence to enable intelligent and connected customer interactions. The company offers tools that aim to foster collaboration between creatives and marketers, facilitating both growth and measurable impact for brands.

Goodman is expected to draw upon his regional leadership expertise and past experience at Adobe to steer the growth of both the APAC business and the digital experience segment in Japan.
