Genki announced Tokyo Xtreme Racer will be exhibited at Tokyo Game Show 2025, which runs from September 25 to 28 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Attendees can try out the early access version of Tokyo Xtreme Racer at Genki’s Tokyo Game Show 2025 booth before the game’s full release.
Genki previously delayed the full release of Tokyo Xtreme Racer to late September 2025, citing that there’s still progress to be made in licensing negotiations and further improving the game’s quality. Originally, the game’s Steam Early Access period was supposed to last roughly four months after the January 23 launch, placing its original release date sometime in May 2025.
Since the game has been delayed, the Tokyo Xtreme Racer developers have time to implement additional features, including Steam achievements, Steam Record rankings, water and oil temperature, and a Hard difficulty, to name a few. More tweaks and adjustments will be made as well.
Tokyo Xtreme Racer is available for $29.99 in Steam Early Access, and players who purchase the game during its early access period will receive the full game at no additional cost. Lastly, here’s an overview of the game, via Steam:
