Wonders of Japan| Top 10 – Most Amazing Places in Japan | Travel Video 4K
What’s up everybody? Welcome back to MK World 4K. Today we are going to Japan. I’m literally going to show you the 10 most incredible things in the entire country. I spent a ridiculous amount of money and time traveling from the top to film these wonders in stunning 4K for you guys. Forget everything you know about Japan. We’re unlocking a side that will blow your mind. We’re going way beyond the typical tourist spots. I’m talking about ancient castles, monkeys and hot springs, trains that teleport. We have 10 wonders to get through, and each one is crazier than the last because we’re starting right now. Let’s go. All right, for our first wonder, number one, Mount Fuji. We’re starting with the most famous landmark in all of Japan. You’ve seen it in pictures and movies, but nothing prepares you for seeing Mount Fuji in person. It’s huge. We flew a drone as high as legally allowed, and it still couldn’t capture its scale. It changes completely with the hour and the season. In the morning, it glows pink and orange. When clouds roll in, it looks like it’s floating in the sky. We camped for 24 hours to capture this for you. For centuries, it’s been considered a sacred place. Artists have obsessed over it for hundreds of years. We rented a boat. The reflection on the water was unbelievable. It’s like two Mount Fuji, one reaching to the sky, one for the lake. A certified 10 out of 10 wonder. Let’s move on. Next, a shrine with 10,000 gates. Okay, next up, Kyoto. This is Fushimi Inari Tisha. It’s famous for thousands and thousands of bright red gates. They’re called Tori gates. There are over 10,000 of them. Walking through them is surreal, like a portal to another world. The sunlight creates incredible light and shadow patterns. Each gate was donated by a person or a business as thanks or for fortune. It’s for the god of rice and business, a physical library of hope. The path goes on for miles. We hiked for over 2 hours. Higher up, the crowds disappear, and you discover hidden ancient altars, moss covered statues, tiny altars. You feel the history underfoot. It’s a tunnel of pure belief and tradition. Utterly mind-blowing. Get ready. This next one will make you feel like you’re on another planet. This is Arashiyama, a full-on forest of giant bamboo stalks. The moment you step inside, everything changes. The light turns green. The air gets cooler. The only sound is the wind rustling the leaves like the forest is breathing. These stalks are massive, towering green poles. We even brought our best mics to capture the sound for you. It looks like a movie set. Something out of a classic Wukia film or Avatar. A whispering living work of art on another level of cool. For our next wonder, we’re stepping back in time. Himi Castle. This is the White Heron Castle. A real 400-year-old samurai fortress. An absolute masterpiece. Bright white walls, elegant curving roofs. Like a bird about to take flight. It survived wars, earthquakes, and fires. The real deal. Inside a maze designed to confuse invaders. Climbing these steep wooden stairs feels like stepping into history. Each floor gets smaller. The views get better and better. From the top, you can spot an enemy army from miles away. Unbeatable. Intricate ornaments meant to protect it. Elegance and raw power. It’s a living time machine. One of the most epic things in Japan. Now, let’s jump into the super futuristic side of Japan. The Shinkansen. This isn’t your average train. It’s a technological marvel. It moves up to 200 mph, 320 km perh. We raced it with a car. The train vanished in seconds. Inside, it’s unbelievably smooth and quiet. Coin didn’t fall. The engineering behind it is mind-boggling. Arrives and departs on time. Average delay less than a minute. It connected cities. What used to be an all-day trip is now ours. Comfortable seats, perfect way to see Japan, a lifeline of modern Japan. This next wonder is one of the weirdest and most amazing things I’ve filmed. We traveled to Jigokuani, Hell’s Valley, for its natural hot springs, its famous residents, the Japanese Macaks aka Snow Monkeys. They hang out in the hot springs to stay warm. I am not making this up. You hike 30 minutes and arrive. It’s surreal to see dozens chilling in steaming water, babies playing, older monkeys grooming. They look almost human. They learn to use the springs to survive harsh winters. Behavior passed down generations. A unique wildlife experience, not a zoo. This is their home. Seeing snow monkeys enjoying a hot bath in a blizzard is one of those perfect bizarre moments you’ll never forget. We traveled deep into a remote mountain valley. Welcome to Shirakawa Go, a UNESCO site. It’s like a real life hobbit village. Unique triangular thatched roofs built without nails, ropes, and wooden beams. An engineering marvel. We stepped inside like the belly of a whale. Huge attic spaces for silkworms. Walking through the village is stepping back 200 years. Peaceful and quiet. The viewpoint looks like a painting carefully preserved. A snapshot of vanishing traditional life. People still live and farm here, keeping traditions alive. Simplicity, craftsmanship, a hidden wonder frozen in time. This wonder isn’t always visitable. You must be here at the perfect moment. For a few short weeks, the whole country transforms. It’s like the whole country is covered in a pink cloud. People gather for hanami, picnics, toasting, celebration. We filmed it in super slow motion. It literally rains pink snow when the wind blows. They frame castles, line rivers, cover hills, national celebration. Sakura symbolizes life’s fragility and new beginnings, a spiritual experience. We followed the blossom front across the country to catch peak bloom. Witnessing peak bloom, you feel it in your soul. We traveled to Miaima, one of Japan’s most scenic spots. This is the Itsukushima Shrine’s famous floating Tory gate. At high tide, it looks like it’s floating, impossible, and beautiful. But when the tide goes out, you can walk right up to the base. It’s not floating. It’s built on the seabed. Giant wooden pillars up close are incredible. We waited until sunset. Tides returned, lanterns lit. Two personalities, both magical, for our final wonder back to Tokyo. And we’re going up, way up. This is the Tokyo Skytree, a beast of a structure. At 634 m, the tallest tower in the world. The elevator takes you 350 m in less than a minute. Your ears pop. When the doors open, the city unfolds beneath you in every direction. It looks like a giant circuit board. Endless grid of life. We paid extra to go up to the Tempo Galleria at 450 m. A glass ramp winds upward. It feels like walking in the sky. On a clear day, you can see Mount Fuji over 60 m away. It’s engineered to sway like a tree. Earthquake resistant genius. The Sky Tree is a vital broadcasting tower for the region. It’s the ultimate on top of the world feeling. We stayed until nightfall and watched the city light up. Millions of tiny lights. A futuristic glowing finale. A perfect futuristic finale to our tour of Japan’s wonders. And that’s a wrap. 10 of the most unbelievable wonders of Japan, all in stunning 4K. From sacred Mount Fuji to the futuristic Tokyo sky tree, snow monkeys, hobbit like Shiraakawa Go, and whispering bamboo forests. Which one surprised you the most? Let me know in the comments below.
