일본에서 가장 깨끗하고 친절한 곳
Good morning! This trip is made possible with support from Jin Air. Today, we’ll reach our destination in under 4 hours and I’ll show you some amazing places even locals don’t know about! It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to Kitakyushu. You can fold down the headrest on the seat. It’s comfortable to rest your head and sleep. The airport is built on an artificial island in the sea. Thank you, Jin Air! What’s the first thing you should do when you arrive at the airport? Get your free airport bus ticket right away! Since we have some time, let’s take a quick airport tour! Grab a local guidebook from the info desk and stamp it neatly. And there’s one more important thing to do! Recharge your transport card in advance for smooth transfers! Finally, the bus has arrived. It takes about 20 minutes to reach Kusami Station. The sea is greeting us! Wow! That’s so beautiful over there! It’s beautiful, right? Glad we charged the transport card in advance, right? At first glance, it looks like a quiet, small local station, but it’s actually the closest station to Kitakyushu Airport, so many people use it when heading to the airport. Now we’re taking the train to Kokura Station! It takes about 15 minutes to get to Kokura Station. The view from the front window is amazing! The atmosphere inside the train is also very romantic. The floor and seats are unique. They have a leopard print. Is Kitakyushu really promoting this pattern…? We’ve already arrived! Selling udon and soba. Wow! There’s an udon shop here..?? Follow the blue (Shinkansen) line, and you’ll see the yellow exit! Using PASMO is the best when passing through. This place is famous for Galaxy Express 999… There it is? Our accommodation! Whoa… Amazing! The hotel is inside the station! This is awesome… Check-in starts at 3 PM, so we came to drop off our luggage in advance. That pattern we saw on the train…?! I checked it by scanning the QR code. Made from recycled train materials, this is called an upcycled bag. (Wow… that’s amazing…?) You can leave your suitcase here by yourself like this. 01. Remove the key first while it’s in the OPEN position. 02. Hang the suitcase on the handle. 03. Put the key back in. 04. Set your desired password. 05. Turn the key to lock it — done! Step out feeling lighter than ever! Behind the hotel, there’s a bus stop and a department store. The location is perfect! Everyone, there’s an escalator on the overpass! I thought this was a small town, but it’s actually a new city? Do I have to take that..?? Bus numbers 21 / 22 / 23! They’re gone… The stairs spiral around~ Getting my walking exercise! Like a terminal, all the bus stops are gathered here! The 22 bus just arrived at the perfect timing. The transit card comes in handy again. First stop we’re visiting? It has a Google rating of 4.4! So many positive reviews already make me excited… It takes about 15 minutes to reach the TOTO Museum. It’s interesting that some buses even have blinds. One day, I want to take a relaxing trip by bicycle. The weather is perfect today! Unlike in Korea, you have to get up when it stops, so you feel like you need to get off a bit quickly. After 4 hours, we’ve arrived at the destination! First, let’s follow the signs and see where they lead. It looks even cooler up close! This wasn’t the main entrance… ^.^;; You have to go according to the sign to reach the main entrance of the TOTO Museum! The staff here are really friendly! Entrance is surprisingly free of charge! Strollers and wheelchairs are available for rent. 1st floor is a showroom / 2nd floor is the museum. I was surprised at how unexpectedly large it is! Toilets greet you as soon as you enter!! Actually, TOTO used to be a ceramics company. So when you enter the museum, the first things you see are these kinds of tableware. This building’s use of light is really impressive. The grass reflects, giving the building a soft green glow. Only at the TOTO Museum can you see Japan’s famous . Amazingly, it traveled from Kitakyushu to Tokyo. They say it ran on waste as fuel… could that be true..? It’s an exhibit that sparks the imagination. With classy classical music~~ Someone enjoying pooping (?) There are also many interesting designs here! Guess what’s amazing? The wall behind here wasn’t a wall? What..? It was a curtain..?? It was threads, threads!! I naturally thought it was a wall… But it was threads!!! You can see the evolution(?) of toilets at a glance! It feels like I just saw 30 years of toilet history all at once… There’s also a section where you can try things out yourself! A scene often seen in Japanese hotels, right? The exhibition exceeded my expectations! Keyring! Toilet keyring! This one opens! Like this! Trying to decide what to buy… In the end, I didn’t buy it, but the keyring keeps lingering in my mind… The first floor is currently operated as a showroom. You can even touch TOTO’s latest kitchen equipment! Behind the showroom, there’s a space with a coffee vending machine where you can also relax and take a break. I was curious what this was… It’s a water droplet-shaped sticker! It was really fun! Oh! Very informative too! Both useful and fun! Next, where are we headed? To , where you can taste local flavors! Travel time: 13 minutes / Fare: 230 yen. Shall I take one cold drink to go? Sure! I just found it! (Amazing!) Iced coffee / Price: 200 yen. You need to keep replenishing your fluids like this to keep traveling without getting tired! Exactly the sip I needed right now! Ahhh!!!! This is it! lolololol Delicious! Finally, we’ve arrived at Tanga Market! It’s a traditional market, so prices are really cheap! It’s also nice to pack it up and eat lightly on the go! I tried oden for the first time in Tokyo, and I remember it being really delicious. Yubumochi? I hope they have yubumochi. If they do, shall we try one? Yes!! Let’s go in and take a bite! Luckily, I had cash. Just the atmosphere alone is already making my mouth water. Kinchaku (巾着) is a tofu pouch, by the way. Daikon (大根) is a must-eat! (Important!) The shop owner checks if it’s cooked properly. Price per piece: around 200–300 yen! Let’s try one! Taberu (たべる): to eat!! I’m really looking forward to it! How will it taste…?! Mmm….!!! It disappeared…! It melts in my mouth! TOBE Continued…
