Tasuku Nakagawa, a 3D Artist whose ultra-realistic patties and rice once made our tummies rumble, has raised the bar tenfold with a brand-new digital dish that could easily fool anyone into thinking it’s just a regular photo someone snapped while traveling in Japan.

This time, instead of showcasing separate food items, the creator unveiled a fully-fledged Tonkatsu dish – a staple of Japanese cuisine typically comprising a pork cutlet with shredded cabbage, a bowl of rice, and miso soup – all of which Tasuku masterfully cooked in 3D. As before, the digital chef utilized Blender as his kitchen, leveraging it to handle the modeling, texturing, lighting, and other workflows.

Additionally, Tasuku announced that he’ll be breaking down the work in question at the upcoming Blender Fes 2025 AW, taking place on September 27-28, 2025. You can learn more about the author’s upcoming session by clicking this link.
