Unique Vending Machines in Japan
Hi, everyone! I’m at a place with lots of unique vending machines. [Vending Machine Gallery Goza] [Vending Machine] [Gallery Goza] “Goza” is the name of this area. Let’s check it out. There are seven unique vending machines here. From the sounds around, you can tell this area has many warehouses and factories. Workers here might be the ones using these vending machines. The machines sell snacks, frozen food, toys, drinks, and more. First up is a roasted sweet potato vending machine. You rarely see these in Japan. It sells two types: cold roasted sweet potatoes and warm ones. I chose the warm roasted sweet potato. The sweet potato comes inside this can. [Please return the can after use] You must return the can to this bin. The sweet potato is vacuum-packed. Warm roasted sweet potato
600 JPY/4.0 USD Japanese sweet potatoes often have purple skin. It’s very sweet with a sticky texture. Even though it’s just roasted, it feels like mashed potatoes. It’s tasty! Next is a frozen food vending machine. It has udon, ramen, rice balls, and rice burgers. And frozen crepes in flavors like strawberry, chocolate, and yuzu. Unfortunately, about half of them are sold out. I’m going for the yuzu cream crepe. It’s made with local yuzu and is the number one favorite here. Frozen yuzu crepe
500 JPY/3.4 USD Yuzu is a citrus fruit that has been grown in East Asia for centuries. It has a strong fragrance and is as sour as a lemon. The yuzu aroma with the sweet cream tastes like premium ice cream. The crepe layers fold over and over like a mille-feuille. I like it. Next is a ramen soup vending machine. [Limited-time: Popular Ramen Soup Vending Machine] [Noodles sold in the vending machine next to this one] It has a variety of ramen soups like miso, salt, soy sauce, and tonkotsu. The price is very reasonable—just 100 to 200 yen. I chose the street-style soy sauce flavor. I’m also buying noodles. There are three types of noodles. Straight noodles, curly noodles, and thick noodles. Snacks on the top row, noodles in the middle, toys on the bottom. I went with the straight noodles. Straight noodles are the most classic choice. Ramen set. Ramen soup
150 JPY/1.0 USD Ramen noodles
220 JPY/1.49 USD [A soup base made with chicken bones, seafood, vegetables, and soy sauce] The noodles are surprisingly authentic. Alright, let’s cook! Once the water boils, add the noodles. Stir gently so the noodles don’t stick together. When the noodles turn slightly clear, turn off the heat. Put the soup base in a bowl. The white part is fat. Add toppings as you like. Green onions are a must for Japanese ramen. All done! This is a very simple, old-fashioned ramen Simple, yet rich in flavor. The seafood taste is especially strong. The noodles are smooth and chewy. Next, I’m buying a snack. It only costs 50 JPY/0.34 USD. Looks kind of like French fries. It tastes like corn. Lightly salted and super crunchy. No way this could taste bad. Haha Next is a chiffon cake vending machine. [#ChiffonCakeEveryDay] It sells chiffon cakes and cookies. Unfortunately, all the chiffon cakes are sold out. I’ll go with the matcha cookie. Matcha cookie
220 JPY/1.49 USD It has a nice matcha aroma and a slightly bitter taste. So good! Last is a toy car vending machine. It has not only cars but many kinds of miniature vehicles. I’m getting a Honda bike! Honda Hunter Cub
550 JPY/3.74 USD It’s modeled after a real bike. Small but very detailed. It even comes with a rider—pretty funny. The wheels actually turn. Added to my collection. THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!!
