CRAZY 8 LAYER ice cream in Otaru, Hokkaido! 1 day food tour itinerary in Japan’s dessert capital!

Hey guys, we have just made it to Otaru. It’s very snowy. This is a little town that’s very close to Saporo on the express train. It’s about 30 to 35 minutes now. As you can see, it is snowing. And this is actually the first time that Alex has ever seen snow, so it’s very exciting. We’re going to go check out some of the shops, check out some of the food, and hopefully get out of the snow. Let’s go. First stop here in Elu is Latau. Have a shop actually in Sydney, but Otaru is actually where this brand first started. Now we’re up at the cafe on the second floor, and they have some pretty sweet seasonal items that are on the menu. I think we’re going to try this one here, which is a strawberry Mont Blanc. And they also have this really nice coming of spring uh cheesecake set. So, I think we’re going to try both of these. Okay, the mle is so delicious. It’s got a really nice strawberry flavor. There’s this like ice cream underneath. M like rich and creamy. And then there’s a biscuit or something. I think it’s a meringue. Cheesecake has a nice fluffy lightness to it that makes it very very easy to eat. Shoe puff. Creamy heaven. Building next to the cream puff store where you can buy marasai butter. And we’ve gone upstairs to the second floor to buy this baked cheese cookie which is going to be delicious. What’s this supposed What do you This is a coffee chocolate ball from Latau. There’s a Latau Danish dishes. There’s LA chocolate. There’s a Latau cheesecakes. There’s Latau everything. I got all meat. No potato. It’s really juicy. It’s fried. It’s a perfection. Crispy skin, juicy on the inside. It has that saltiness that I’ve learned to love here in Naida. And the kurag here is also just as delicious.

If you love desserts, Otaru is a MUST VISIT destination in Japan!

Otaru is a charming port town in Hokkaido about 1hr train ride from the capital city of Sapporo. This is the ultimate day trip for foodies, there’s SO much to try, both sweet and savoury (but mostly sweet hehe)
