Summer in Rural Japan | Exploring Nagano by Local Train | Hakuba & Azumino | JAPAN TRAVEL VLOG

Good morning everyone, this is Mona😊 Right now, I’m riding a local train in Nagano Prefecture. This line offers beautiful natural scenery, including the Northern Alps and rural landscapes. I feel soothed by the nostalgic scenery of Japan. This time, I’m traveling around Nagano’s hidden gems on a local train. Wow, beautiful lake♡ Next is my first stop on this journey. I’ve arrived at Yanaba Station. No one’s there. A very quiet lakeside. The sound of water. The chirping of birds and insects. The rustling of leaves. That’s all I can hear. Now, it’s time for brunch🥰 This is a cafe nestled on the lakeside. I can enjoy the panoramic view of the crystal clear Lake Aoki and the Northern Alps. It feels amazing with a great sense of openness. The view from inside the cafe is also beautiful. That’s a refreshing shade of blue💙 This lemonade is inspired by Lake Aoki. The slightly sweet pancakes♡ They pair perfectly with the saltiness of the sausages and scrambled eggs. It was delicious! I’ve arrived at Hakuba Station. Let’s head to my next destination. I’m enjoying a relaxing aerial stroll on the gondola lift. Wow, spectacular view😍 I’m excited. I’ve reached the summit. What a beautiful view! I can’t help but smile. A relaxing moment where everyone enjoys themselves freely. I enjoy watching them from a distance. They’re all people I don’t know, yet it somehow makes me happy. This is a cafe with a spectacular view of the Northern Alps. It’s a picturesque view. Now, I think I’ll have something to drink. I’ll take a little time to relax. I’m heading to the station where my hotel is located. I’ve arrived at Shinano-Omachi Station. Let’s go for dinner. This is a restaurant near the station that I found via Google. It seems to be a favorite among locals. Wow, it’s huge! It’s crispy, juicy, and delicious😋 I’m staying at a hotel in front of the station. Good morning! I’ve arrived at Hotaka Station. It’s so nice weather today♡ This is one of Japan’s largest Wasabi (Japanese horseradish) farms. Wasabi fields fed by spring water from the Northern Alps is expanding. Wow, what beauty! Time passes peacefully here. This is a place where a famous director’s movie was filmed. The aquatic plants swaying in the clear stream are truly mystical. A vast Wasabi field. The black sheets are apparently placed there to protect the Wasabi, which is sensitive to direct sunlight. The water is truly beautiful. Let’s go a little further in. Phew, it’s hot again today🥵 It’s cool and refreshing. This is a shrine located within the Wasabi farm. Long ago, a great king who fought to protect the people of this region was enshrined here. It’s said that this is a recreation of the place where the great king barricaded himself before his final battle. This Wasabi farm is filled with beautiful nature and history. Now then, let’s try some food made with Wasabi! The Wasabi flavor isn’t too strong—just a faint hint of it. I try to add the Wasabi on the side. Wow, it’s spicy😂 Let’s also take a look at the souvenir shop. The whole Wasabi root is lined up in large numbers! The shop has a wide selection of Wasabi-based products. It also has a variety of original goods. I’m getting hungry, but the restaurant is busy. Let’s head back towards Hotaka Station. This is the soba noodles restaurant near the station. The interior has a quaint, relaxing atmosphere. Wow, these soba noodles have a strong flavor! I’m happy they also serve tempura♡ This is a shrine revered as the chief guardian of the Japanese Alps. It is particularly revered as the guardian deity of traffic safety and industrial development. What a beautiful shrine✨ The sound of the wind chimes is soothing. Now, let’s worship. Wow, magnificent cedar tree! I feel a mysterious power. The beautiful nature is also fascinating. Now, let’s head to my next destination! This is an art museum exhibiting works and materials of modern Japanese sculpture. The beautiful building and garden♡ This red-brick, church-style building is registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of the country. The door handle is shaped like an angel! From these dynamic works, I can feel a strong sense of message. This channel brings you unique travel experiences in Japan. 2.
