If you are going matcha hunting in Kyoto and looking for a cozy place to stay in Uji, Uji TN might be the place for you. I stayed here for a few days during my visit in Uji, and I’m glad I did. I love the vibe and how staying here feels like you are living in a traditional house in Kyoto. I got to sleep in a tatami room, but still with a mattress and a comforter. My room is also built with an air conditioner, which is very important if you are visiting during the summer. We also got a huge dining area, a laundry room, and a full functioning kitchen.
