The women’s vintage style icon is back.
Located in Nakameguro, which was known as a quiet residential area but recently it’s been popular among the young generation. People think its the hippiest area with many vintage clothing and stylish interior stores in Tokyo. Dept Harajuku is known as a legendary vintage store in Japan. It was once closed but re-opened by eri, a designer of a Japanese brand called “Mother”. Dept opened in the same building as “mother River Side Boutique”, which is eri’s store but Dept Tokyo was designed by Seiji Nagai, who is one of the founding members of Dept. The store itself has a very artsy vibes with antique interior and posters. Very colorful and happy atmosphere.
