Travel Day in Japan Osaka to Okayama π
[Music] [Music] Now you guys are stupid. [Music] Okay, so I’ve made it to Okyama, the next location on my trip. Be here for 3 days, two nights. You probably saw I was struggling to make this bed, but we got there in the end. I think I had it done incorrectly from the beginning. So, I took everything out and redo it, redid it. Anyway, I’m pretty wrecked out. Just the traveling from like place to place. It’s just tiring. I think it’s also because I am carrying my luggage with me, which is just my backpack and um a tote bag. But uh both of them, I think, add up to like 12 kilos now. Maybe a bit more, I guess, depending if I’ve got water or not. But yeah, like carrying 12 kilos around. Um, I’m still not 100% yet recovered from the shingles. It’s definitely healed. I don’t know if you can see it there, but yeah, this is a cute room. I thought I was going to be in a shared space with other people, but um, it’s just me in this room. This is a hostel as well, but yeah, it’s just they’ve got different different type of rooms, so it’s pretty cool. I like it. I’m pretty hungry and I need to take my antibiotics, so I’m probably going to get some food. I tried sushi for the first time in Japan. head on. [Applause] No. I’ll show you guys what I got. So, this is my first time trying sushi while here in Japan. Crazy, but I’m in Okama. And I also got some fried chicken. Um, I also picked up a drink from the vending machine. I was going to go to the convenience store, but then I realized that don’t need to go to a convenience store to get a drink. I can just go to a vending machine and pick myself a drink. I obviously have no idea what this is, but it looks like tea. So, unsweetened as well, my favorite. All right. I had sushi, I think. the day before I came with my mate and it was a sushi train um and I saw this plate that had like sushi with cucumber in it. So just essentially like rice and then their paper roll and the cucumber and I was like who gets that? Um, I had a little laugh about it cuz I was like, I’m never going to get anything like that. And yet, here I am about to eat it. This sushi place that I went to, like it it had obviously everything was in Japanese, so I had no idea what I was getting. So I was just like number eight looked kind of good. So I was like number eight. Not bad. I’m sorry. I’m going to eat this in my hand. Oh wow. It’s got a bit of like lemon flavor to it. So good. Garlic. I think this is tofu. Not bad. Nothing too too crazy though. Really enjoying this ginger though. Not too sure what these are. Like I can see there’s rice inside of it, but it looks like it’s been wrapped up with like egg. That’s nice. It’s like a bit sweet as well. I’m going to end it there. I’m going to eat as much as I can and probably just sleep. All right, see you guys.
Todayβs vlog is a super chilled travel day in Japan. I check out of my hostel in Osaka, catch the Shinkansen down to Okayama, and settle into a new hostel for the night. After unpacking and getting my bed ready, I finish the evening with some sushi for dinner. π£
This video isnβt about rushing around sightseeing β itβs more about the little moments of slow travel in Japan. Riding the bullet train, arriving in a new city, and finding comfort in simple things.
If youβre following along with my Japan series, this is the transition from Osaka to Okayama before I keep exploring more of Japan.

Yo Miguel! If youβre still in Osaka, hit up one of my Meetup events. Itβs a rare opportunity to meet and talk to locals in English.
