Most Epic & Iconic Celebration of Japan 🤯 (Since 900 CE)
One after the other processions are coming out. Till now 8-10 have come out. Some small, some big. Many people are shouting. Chicken biryani I love you. Mango lassi. Mango lassi. This is the biggest festival in the whole of Japan. Look at the crowd of people here. So many people here. English? Yes. So many boats have been set on fire and put in the water. So many policemen are here. Everyone is extremely friendly. Konnichiwa. Ohana. Ohana? Ohana. What is Ohana? Everyone is saying sorry. Everyone is joining hands. Everyone is requesting. No force. So guys, welcome back to the new vlog. My name is Tor Vasu. Right now I am in Japan’s third largest and third most popular city, Osaka. In the last video, you saw how I reached Osaka from Tokyo to attend a very grand and unique festival in Japan. So guys, finally we have reached Japan’s most iconic and one of the grand summer festivals. Tenjin Matsuri is very crowded. Many people are standing. There are processions coming out. I don’t know if I will be able to go inside or not. There are three major festivals in Japan. Like in India, in Hinduism, like Holi, Diwali, Dussehra, or any other festival. This festival comes in the top three festivals in Japan. Tenjin Matsuri. And in terms of people participation in a single day, this is the biggest festival in Japan. Today, in Osaka, up to 1 million, around 10 lakh people will participate in this festival and attend. Matsuri means festival in the Japanese language. So in Japan, most festivals have the word Matsuri written in front of them, which means festival. We are outside a shrine called Shinto Shrine. Shinto is an indigenous religion of Japan. In which Japanese people pray to nature and spirits. At present time, there are around 100,000 Shinto shrines in Japan. So this is a Shinto festival of Japan. Indigenous festival, which has been celebrated for more than 1000 years. Since the ancient times of Japan. There are a lot of people, a lot of people are still coming and going. It’s very sunny. People are spread out in the hands. Why is this festival? What is the history? What is the reason? We will tell you everything later. But this festival is divided into three parts. The most interesting part is the second and third. In the first part, the shrines, shrines, or you can say processions come out. People’s gathering comes out. Of Shinto people. This is the first step, the first stage. The second stage is very interesting. Which will be in the river, in the water. A lot of boats will run in the water. And the third will be at night. When the whole city will be submerged in fireworks for 2 to 3 hours. Japan’s largest firework. Everyone’s mobile phones have come out. I am very behind today, there is so much crowd. I am not able to go. Brother, it is so hot, it is so hot, there is so much humidity. I have taken an umbrella. I am covered by sunlight. Still, I am soaked in sweat within 5 minutes. Oh brother. One after another processions are coming out. Till now, 8 to 10 have come out. Some small, some big. A lot of people are shouting. In their traditional Japanese way. In Shinto way. This is a golden color procession, or Jhaki. Something like this. Look at this. A lot of people have given their hands. Nearby is the most popular river in Osaka. Probably the biggest river in Osaka. All the processions will go there, in the river. Then boats will run in the river, around 100 boats. Can you imagine? 100 boats will run in the river, on the second stage. Which will be decorated in a very traditional way. In which all the processions will go. It is going to be a very unique and grand experience. Oh my God. Brother, look at the crowd. All the processions have left. Road parade is happening on the other side. But the road is open. Everyone is going inside the temple. Here, some traditional Japanese dances are being done. So here, some organizers. Japanese traditional wear. Like Kimono. They are wearing all these variations. Here, traditional dances have been going on for a long time. So there is a performance by an artist. And many people are dancing in public. So look at this. This is bamboo. Hello. Konnichiwa. So water is coming out from here. People are washing their hands. Some people are drinking this water. It looks like fresh water. Maybe it’s a ritual. To wash hands or something. So people are praying in the shrine. With folded hands. With bowed head. Some people are throwing coins inside the shrine. The main festival hasn’t started yet. So understand this. Stage 2 and 3 are left. The main one. The main one. You can see. Because of Tenjin Matsuri Festival. Many places have been closed. Officers and authorities are standing. All vehicles are not allowed to pass. The whole road is empty. People are coming from the side. People are coming from the side. So guys. The second phase of this festival has started. Look at this. Here. In Osaka. There is a very big river. It’s a very popular river. It passes through the middle of Osaka. The name of this river. In different parts of Osaka. There are different names. Anyway. Popularly it was called Okawa River. On this river. Many boat parades are taking place. Boat processions are taking place. There are many people. On the boat. They are riding the boat together. Means. There is one boat at 100-200 meters. Not all boats are together. Boats are flying for 10-20 meters. At different locations. If you are at one place. You will see only one boat. And this boat will run for 2-3 hours. On a very long route of the river. Look at the view of Osaka city from here. What a beautiful view. Now they are standing on the bridge. Temabashi Bridge. There is such a name. And this is the river. Okawa River. Okawa River in Osaka. There is the whole city. You can see the skyline. You can see skyscrapers. There. There is a pedestrian bridge. There is a railway bridge. There is a bridge for vehicles. There are 3-4-5 bridges there. One on top of the other. The train is also passing. Japan has made an amazing infrastructure. Amazing. From this angle. Looking at this view of Osaka. It feels like. The city is settled on the river. It feels like. The whole city is visible here. It is a floating city. The city is floating on the river. It feels like that. See. The river is flowing. The river is flowing. And above. The city of Osaka. Amazing. Amazing. Look at the crowd of people here. Look at the crowd of people. There is a lot of crowd here. I have come to a convenience store. See. There is a long queue. I am not getting anything to eat. People are eating from convenience stores and street stalls. So I have taken these 3 items. One is this cheese pizza wrap. Something like this. The other is sweet red bean paste bun. And this drink is caramel latte. Let’s eat something. Otherwise, I am very hungry. I am not getting anything to eat. The queue is very long. I have not seen such a long queue anywhere in Japan. In any convenience store. Look at the queue. I am standing in the queue from there. The queue on one side has moved forward. Now I am showing you. It’s been 5-7 minutes. So guys. One after the other. A lot of boat processions and parades are taking place. Small boat. Big boat. People. Wherever you see. People are sitting. People are sitting. That’s why it is called. Single day. This is the biggest festival in all of Japan. Up to 1 million. 10 lakh people are watching this festival. From different parts of Osaka. Look. The boat is going in the boat. When I was on top of the bridge. So the boat was going less. Now after the boat. One after the other. One boat is going. The whole place is full. There are very long boats. You can see that. The whole bridge has gone up. Tamabashi bridge. This is one bridge. There is another bridge above it. Look at that. Both the bridges are different. This is a single bridge. There is such an amazing architecture here. Despite that. You can see. There are millions of people. Everyone is eating something inside. But still. You will not see any place dirty. Hardly dirty. Trash. Garbage. Garbage. Garbage. You will not see anywhere. All roads. All lanes. Main road. Bridge. Side lanes. Everything is super neat and clean. Brother. This game is still going on in Japan. People are shooting with guns. There are adults, kids, and people of all ages playing this game. The one who gets hit will get the item. It’s not that easy to hit. Most of the people are missing their targets. One point. I can’t hit anyone. People are sitting wherever they can. On the side of the river, on the side of the lane, with their family, friends, in a group. They are having a picnic with the festival. Everywhere is full of people. Everywhere is super duper neat and clean. You can’t even imagine this in your country. This is the real civic sense of Japan. We all have to learn it well and implement it in our daily lives. Tenjin Matsuri means festival of Tenjin or Tenjin festival. Tenjin is a Shinto god. Japanese people made him their god out of fear. His original name is Sugawara no Michijane. I hope I’m not pronouncing it wrong. In his honor, Tenjin Matsuri is celebrated. Michijane was a very smart and kind man in Japan. He loved to study. When he died, he felt that his spirit came to Japan. At that time, there were many storms and disasters in the region. Everyone’s life was in danger because of his death. At that time, Japanese people made him their god and named him Tenjin. That’s why Tenjin Matsuri festival was started. People believe that by organizing this festival, Tenjin god will be happy. Japanese people thank him for this. To pray for his spirit and wish him good luck. There are about 10,000 Shinto shrines dedicated to Sugawara no Michijane or Tenjin. You can see the crowd of people. One boat after another is coming. Earlier, only one boat was coming at a time. Now, one boat after another is coming. It will come till night. It is said that more than 100 boats will float on this river today. To make their god happy. Shinto god. This festival is also called festival of fire and water. Many boats have been set on fire and made to stand in the water. For many hours, boats are on fire. Police is repeatedly asking people to stop at one place. If they stop, there will be a jam. People will stop walking. Very few people have stopped. Most people are just walking. Today, there is a lot of walking. I haven’t slept for two days. The energy of the body has gone down. The body is working because of the excitement of the festival. The condition of the body has deteriorated. Look at the local dress of the ladies here. It is a variation of the traditional Japanese dress. There are many other names. There are many colors and designs. It looks so beautiful. There are many police officers. Everyone is extremely friendly. Konnichiwa. Thank you. There will be such a huge crowd. I didn’t even think about it. The sun is about to set. People’s offices are over. Everyone is free. It seems that the whole city has come here. The population of Osaka city is around 2.7 million. Up to 10 lakh people. One third of the population of the city has come to attend this festival. The road is full of people. You can see everyone’s hair. Black, brown, black, brown, white. I can’t see anything. The road is full of people. There are many people behind me. Konnichiwa. Konnichiwa. How are you? Where are you from? I’m from India. India. Indian curry. Indian curry. Everyone in India calls it Indian curry. I don’t know the name. I like Indian curry very much. Is it delicious? Torvashu Sir, A very small token of appreciation for your outstanding work. You have demonstrated amazing courage by not just visiting the wonderfully developed parts of the world, but also extremely difficult places such a Libya. You have risked your life to educate us and that fact should not be lost on anyone. As a young man who can be easily tempted by attraction, I always see you as someone who is pure and simple, and there are several things that the world can learn from you. Warm Regards Amit
