$50 Tokyo Stay!? ♨️ 1-Sec from Ikebukuro, Hot Spring + Free Breakfast 🍳 Explore Ikebukuro
This time, I stayed at the Super Hotel Ikebukuro Nishiguchi Natural Hot Springs—just one second from the station!? I’ll also show you some amazing tsukemen and a walk around Ikebukuro—stay tuned! I arrived at Exit C1b of Ikebukuro Station on the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line. Looking around… I spotted the hotel—right next door! Here’s the price for one night in a standard room with breakfast included. This channel features Japanese hotels, sightseeing spots, and local food from all over Japan. If you’re interested, please consider subscribing to the channel! Now heading up to the 2nd floor where the front desk is located. Super Hotel is a well-known chain, but it’s rare to find one that offers hot springs. I arrived a bit late, so the front desk was already closed. But no worries—you can check in at the entrance, and they’ll give you your room’s PIN code. One thing all their hotels focus on is high-quality sleep. There aren’t any pajamas in the room, so I’ll grab one from here. It’s one-size-fits-all. Grab only the amenities you need. This will be the breakfast venue tomorrow. Let’s take the elevator in the back up to the 8th floor. Heading to the room now. To enter the room, just input the PIN code. Unlike a card key, you don’t need to carry anything—just enter the code. So convenient! The standard room is 12 square meters. Let’s take off our shoes here. The room is simple but stylish, and it feels clean and cozy. The view outside shows rows of buildings. The wall color is chic and calming too. Let’s take a look around the desk area. All the taps in the hotel use “Healthy Ion Water,” which is a nice touch. There’s a multi-device charging station here. The TV remote has shortcut buttons for various streaming services. Here’s the remote for the air conditioner. Cups are stored just below. A SALONIA hair dryer is provided. And here’s an electric kettle. At the bottom is a mini-fridge. And this is… A desk and chair! It looks comfortable enough for doing some laptop work. The ceiling is made with diatomaceous earth, which helps regulate humidity. There’s a long, wide pillow provided. All the switches are conveniently located by the bedside. The bed is 150 cm wide—plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Here’s an air purifier. Now, let’s check out the bathroom. Everything is neatly compact. The shampoo is a silicone-free original from the hotel. The tap water here is safe to drink. The bathtub feels a little on the small side. Alright, time for dinner! Just north of the new landmark “Global Ring” at the west exit— I’m having dinner at one of my all-time favorites: Tsukemen Yasubee. When you enter, buy a meal ticket from the vending machine. Same price whether you choose small, medium, or large. I went with the spicy tsukemen, small size. Give your ticket to the staff, then take a seat. At your table, you’ll find chopped onions, bonito flakes, vinegar, chili, garlic, and more to customize your meal. Homemade aged noodles paired with a rich, flavorful soup… This is honestly the tsukemen spot I’ve visited more than any other in my life. You can even ask for “soup wari”—a lighter broth to finish your meal—for free. The restaurant is clean and well-kept. Counter seating makes it easy to visit even when dining solo. Here it is! Spicy tsukemen! Since I ordered the small size, one topping is free. You can choose from a seasoned egg, chashu pork, vegetables, bamboo shoots, boiled dumplings, green onions, seaweed, or sesame seeds. The noodles are medium-thick. They have a nice chewy texture and pair perfectly with the soup. The soup is a sweet-and-spicy seafood blend—popular with both men and women. Here’s the soup used for the soup wari. Just pour it into your leftover dipping sauce, and it transforms into a warm, drinkable soup! Another truly satisfying meal! Alright, let’s head back to the hotel. Here’s the toothbrush. You’ll also find one face towel and one bath towel. The tote bag with the Super Hotel logo is for use only within the hotel. Let’s take a little tour around the hotel. The men’s bath is located on the 3rd floor. The women’s bath is on the 4th floor—each floor is separate. On the same floor as the onsen, you’ll also find a laundry room. Now, let’s go enjoy the long-awaited hot spring! Since filming inside isn’t allowed, here’s a photo of the bath. The hot spring water is delivered straight from Oku-Yugawara, a famous onsen area.
It’s mildly alkaline and said to help with beautiful skin, fatigue recovery, stiff shoulders, and cold sensitivity. It’s open from 3:00 PM until 9:30 AM the next morning, so you can enjoy it whenever you like. Back in the room now. The pajamas are a two-piece set. Time to change and relax for the night. Thanks for watching, and good night! Good night. See you in the next part! Good morning! Sunlight is pouring in through the big window. It’s such a beautiful day! You can watch a live view of the breakfast room on the info TV. Very convenient for avoiding the crowds! You can also check the hot spring crowd status. Alright, let’s head to the breakfast area. Breakfast is free for all guests as a buffet style. It features “healthy breakfast,” a concept from the Super Hotel group. Let’s start picking our food! Such colorful vegetables! Here’s the potato salad. There are five kinds of original dressings too. These are the desserts. And this one is… Monja croquette! Very Tokyo-style! The grilled mackerel looks delicious too… I’ll try the omelet as well. The herb grilled chicken looks great too. I went for a mostly Japanese-style selection. Amazing that all of this is free! Itadakimasu! Gochisousama deshita. Heading back to my room for now. To check out, just hang this sign on your door. The emergency stairs are right next to the elevator hall. Return the card key to complete checkout! Today, I’ll be exploring the area using the “IKEBUS.” Super Hotel is the only hotel chain officially recognized as an Eco-First company by Japan’s Minister of the Environment. They received certification in 2011. Their concept is “Natural, Organic, Smart.” Even in the city, they aim to offer a hotel where you can feel nature and wellness. That concept is reflected in their organic breakfast, natural hot spring, and ionized water. The hotel’s amazing access from the station really stands out. It was just renovated and reopened on December 26, 2024—super clean! Now I’ve arrived on the Tobu Department Store side. This uniquely red bus stop is where the Ikebus picks up passengers. There are two routes available: Route A and Route B. Today, I’ll be heading to Ikesan Park via Route B! What a cute bus design! I’m excited to see if it really looks like this. Except for 1 PM–3 PM and 5 PM, it runs twice an hour. Here it comes! Just like the illustration—bright red and very stylish. The interior is also vibrant red. The unique patterns on the seats and floors give off a strong sense of design. The Ikebus has been running since 2019, making stops around the main spots of Ikebukuro. The front of the bus even looks like it has a cute little face. At night, the rooftop mascot “Ike-chan” lights up its eyes! Here are the fares. You can pay with cash (¥1000 bills only) or QR code payment. Apparently, it can also be rented out for private events and experience-based tours. The back window is open, giving the space a really airy feel. It’s electric, with a max speed of 19 km/h. Perfect for enjoying the views at a leisurely pace. It’s eco-friendly with no emissions, and it’s equipped with a wheelchair lift—kind to both people and the planet. Each seat has a different pattern. Very cool! Here’s the view from the front row. That’s the Ikebus heading in the opposite direction. Those tiny wheels are so cute. I’ve arrived at the entrance of Ikesan Park. The bus was designed by Eiji Mitooka, famous for his train car designs. Just riding it puts you in a good mood. Wheelchair users can board and disembark from the rear of the bus. I’ve made it to Ikesan Park! This park used to be the site of the Mint Bureau and was transformed in the summer of 2020. It covers an area of 1.7 hectares. It’s hard to believe I’m still in central Tokyo with this much open space. There’s a playground where kids can have fun too. Just like the Ikebus, the playground equipment is painted in a bright red. A wide, grassy lawn stretches out before me. Even in the middle of the city, I can still enjoy the beauty of nature—such a refreshing escape. Time for lunch! I’m heading to a café called “Eat Good Place.” They also offer takeout. On a sunny day, a picnic on the lawn sounds perfect. The high ceiling and large windows make the place feel incredibly open and airy. Here’s a look at their lunch menu. They even offer full course meals. These are the three main lunch options. They also have side dishes to choose from. And desserts too— plus a selection of drinks to finish off the meal. My weekday lunch plate came with salad, bread, and a drink. The bread is all-you-can-eat! Let’s start with the salad. Here comes the main dish: chicken and tomato doria! It’s piping hot and steaming. Personally, I found the flavor a bit on the mild side. But I made sure to enjoy every bite. They also sell bread here, which is nice. Sitting out on this terrace would be lovely too. Thanks so much for watching all the way to the end! Your feedback really motivates me to keep making new videos!✨
I am still confused, if the front desk was closed, how could you get the password or the card key?
The value for money at this hotel is great – its so cheap considering its right next to a major station, there is an onsen, and a free & good breakfast buffet ! Really a great deal, if you want to stay in Ikebukuro.
Thank you for introducing the cute Ike Bus, it looks almost like a toy bus 🙂.
I'm From India😊
Hello and thanks for a wondertastic video!! This hotel looked so well-connected, making it great to stay while exploring the city!! The amenities on the lobby looked really neat and the pajamas looked comfy too… and while having a PIN code to open the room's door – that looked so comfy and amazingly clean – is nice, I'm a bit old-fashioned in that sense and prefer a key to open it!! And as always the food looked absolutely delicious and you discovered me the tsukemen – never heard about it before -… and the breakfast was also great, with a nice & fresh food selection for having a great start of the day!! WoW, the 'Ikebus' were really cute with that bright red color…and also a nice way to explore the city on the way to an amazing and well-keeped park, where everyone can have fun on it's own choice: walking, playing, having a nice coffee on the cafés in it! Love from Spain! 💚🇪🇦
What a good deal considering the clean nice room and free breakfast!
Ikebukuro nowadays a lot of Chinese people be careful of crime
The one problem I have with Japanese business hotels are the flat pillows. Many times there is only one and they are filled with buckwheat. Westerners aren't used to these. It would be great if the hotels offered foam pillows for foreigners. Most large hotels that cater to tourists usually have large pillows.
I've been looking at ikebukuro for my next stay, saw the Metropolitan and a Daiwa Roynet, but didn't even see this one, thanks much. I'll do some more research on it.
I like the natural hotel. Greetings from Canada.
As a wheelchair user, I appreciate you pointing out that the Ike Bus has a wheelchair lift! Other than the tsukemen restaurant, everything looks barrier free. I may stay at that Super Hotel next time!
Amazing value!
Thank you for this video.the hotel looks nice and cozy.
I had completely forgotten that I went to that same tsukemen place until I saw this. It was wonderful
Crazy the Ike Bus doesn't accept SUICA/PASMO cards.
The video doesn’t covey just how tiny this room is. I thought the APA hotel I stayed in Hiroshima was small but this one has to be 30 to 40% smaller. But you’re in Tokyo literally next to a train station. It’s just a place to sleep. The entire city is your living room.
The Ikebus is nice
What are you talking about, I just checked, it is $150 USD per notht, not $50!!!!!
I stayed in the super hotel in ginza that is very good too
