The G-MODE Archives+ series has been running in Japan for quite some time, with the goal of resurrecting long-lost mobile games for release on Switch. Back in June we learned that G-MODE Archives+ Shin Megami Tensei: Tokyo Requiem was on the way, and the game is now available for Switch in Japan. There’s no word on a localization at this time.
Christmas Eve, 201X. Ash fell where snow should have; a demon rose from the ruins. Tokyo’s silent night was shattered. Tokyo in ruins, overrun by demons. What twisted demons will cross your path—and where will your choices lead you?
This title is an original entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series, released exclusively for Japanese flip phones (mobile phones with limited functionality, popular before the rise of smartphones). It retains many of the franchise’s signature systems, including Demon Negotiation, Demon Fusion, and Alignment mechanics, all of which longtime fans will find familiar.
Story
On Christmas Eve, the protagonist is out on a date with his girlfriend at a newly opened landmark in Tokyo. She seems to be enjoying herself, but for some reason, he feels empty, disconnected, as though something is missing. As he silently broods, a mysterious message appears on his phone. The sender is unknown. Attached: a strange file named D.I.O.System.
At that very moment, without any warning or radar detection, an ICBM streaks through the Tokyo sky. The missile evades all countermeasures and descends upon the capital—mocking the efforts of the JSDF as it brings total devastation in an instant. And then, from the ashes, they appeared.
Countless beings, twisted and inhuman—demons—emerged to greet the few survivors of the apocalypse.
Gameplay Features

Face the trials and fight through! Team up with unique companions! This is our story—a journey of uncertainty, but we keep moving forward.
This title is the mobile app version of the tactical role-playing game Stella Deus, originally released in 2004 for the PlayStation 2. It was initially adapted for Japanese flip phones (mobile phones with limited functionality, popular before the rise of smartphones). The app brings the thrill of battle back into focus by highlighting the “Cave of Trials,” a location originally designed for character training. Featuring a completely original storyline, the app lets players take control of familiar characters and fight their way through all 50 stages.
