Banzai Japan (2025) Okinawa: Episode 19 – Okinawa Fruits Land

Hey everyone, it’s DJ Ben aka Yellow Pig. Welcome back to another episode of Bonsai Japan. Today we’re in Nago at Okinawa Fruits Land. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Okinawa Fruitsland is a theme park centered around fruit. [Music] It’s not just about walking through orchards. This place is built like an adventure game. Visitors follow a magical storybook journey, solve fruit themed riddles, and explore a world full of exotic plants. It’s educational, ridiculous, and yes, it’s very Okinawa. Hey everyone, it’s time for me to reveal the answer to last week’s hidden yellow pig bear mini contest. I hope all of you counted correctly the number of times the logo appeared and the answer is five times. The hair park is structured like a fantasy fruit quest. You’re guided through the story of Fruit Kingdom where you must solve riddles to save the land. Inside the park, you can expect giant fruit statues that look like bosses in a video game. fun photo spots, especially near the massive mango fountain. It’s like stepping into a fruity RPG minus the slime monsters and grinding. Oh, that’s creepy. [Music] This is an inn mostly for fairies, but apparently humans and beastmen Human and dwarves and spirits are all allowed in here as well. Elves included. Um so it doesn’t matter if you’re a human, spirits, an elf, dwarf, or even a fairy. You get to uh take a sheltered rest in here. It’s raining cats and dogs right now, so I can’t be walking out in the rain. As you can see, I’m soaking wet. As you can see, even my snack sheet is uh it’s wet right now. It’s very close to being torn uh to bits by the rain. So, I’m just resting here seeking shelter from the rain. And so, I think this is a really important thing for you guys to know if you wish to visit the Okino Fitzland. Remember to bring an umbrella or at least a raincoat with you when you come here. Oh my god. [Music] As with all Okinan theme parks, the food is half the attraction. [Applause] [Music] Hey everyone. So, I ordered the red curry, the yellow curry, and the green curry. Now, because they don’t have a set, the people were very nice. They helped me to put all the rice in one plate and they dished out three different types of curry into three separate bowls for me. So instead of presenting the curry the way they usually do as seen in the menu, they’ve uh separated the three different types of curry and one big plate of rice just for me. Very kind. I don’t deserve this hospitality, but I’m very thankful. All right. So, the first type of curry is the red curry. This one is made with tomato, mixed berries, and beef. [Music] I really love the beef. The beef is very tender. Very tender. It would be nice if they gave us a little bit more beef, though. Um, yeah, more beef is always better. So, I think the red curry actually works really well with the mixed berries, the tomato, and the beef. The next type of curry is the green curry. This is made with spinach, pork belly, and apple. [Music] that goes really really well with the rice. And the third one is the yellow curry. This one is made with mango, minced chicken, and coconut milk. Can’t really taste the mango in it. So, I think that’s okay cuz it has a very strong coconut taste to it, which I love. I love coconut milk in curry. Um, in fact, when I make my chicken curry in Singapore, I add a lot of coconut milk to it. I think coconut and curry is a really good combination. Uh, with the mint chicken, I think it works really well. There is a mild mango taste to it, which kind of changes the flavor a little bit, but it’s not a bad taste. It’s actually mild and tastes all right. So, of all the three curries, I think I would prefer the yellow curry. I would say the yellow one is the winner because I feel the yellow curry feels much more like a curry. The red one, in terms of flavor, I like the red one the most because um the flavor and the texture. I think the red one is my favorite one because um the the texture of the beef is brilliant. It’s soft. It melts in your mouth. Um but I don’t feel it so much of a curry as it is a type of pasta sauce. It’s got the tomato and the mixed berries. And I still like the green one because the green one kind of reminds me of palak panei. But I think it does it it feels more like a palak panei than it does a green curry. But overall, it all tastes really good. They did not overdo the fruity flavors in all of the three curries. So, I would say when you come to Okinaw, give the three curries a shot. I think it’s worth it. I think it’s worth worth a try. Hey guys. So, the next Bunsai Japan live episode is happening on the 2nd of October. Now, during the live episode, we’ll be having a live gacha gacha contest. However, the rules have changed. The rules of participation have changed. Good luck walking out without buying something squishy, sticky, or citrus scented. [Music] Hey everyone, welcome back to a Fortnite Bonsai Japan quiz.
