President Bola Tinubu on Thursday arrived in Abuja following diplomatic engagements in Japan and Brazil.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the arrival of Tinubu in a statement he issued on Thursday morning.
Onanuga said the presidential jet, which took off from Brasília International Airport Air Force Base at 12:57pm (local time) on Wednesday, touched down early in the morning on Thursday.
The President was welcomed by a host of dignitaries and officials.
Tinubu attended the opening ceremony and plenary of the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) on August 20 in Japan.
He held bilateral meetings and rounded off with an interactive session with members of the Nigerian community.

Following the conclusion of TICAD 9, he departed Yokohama for a stopover in Los Angeles before proceeding to Brasília.
In Brazil, he met with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and senior Brazilian officials.
The two leaders held private discussions and oversaw the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding.
The MoUs spanned aviation, foreign affairs, science and technology, and agriculture—key sectors in Nigeria’s development agenda.
