Typhoon Travel Nightmare in Japan

Welcome back to another episode of Rizzle’s World, y’all. Today we are starting off in Sai. This is our last night in Sai before we head up to Saporro for one night, one night only, just to go to my favorite baseball stadium. But first, here we are at Chawwan to eat a nice little lunch to end our stay in Sai. Nice little roast beef salad. We got a soup. Whatever the hell that is. It looks kind of good. Little dumpling dumpling. You know, basic set, lunch set. I don’t think it cost me that much. It’s decent. Now, one of my homies, he’s from Sai and he said, “Check out my boy’s bar.” So, uh, here I am walking up these raggedy ass stairs to the bar, and here’s my thoughts on the journey to the bar. You see that elevator, y’all? I’m in a sketchy [ __ ] That’s why I’m doing the stairs, you dig? Y’all, I just walked up six flights of stairs and this old building. You can’t even get to the bar from the stairs. So, I’m walking down to take this jank ass elevator. Y’all, this [ __ ] right here, what I don’t do. All right, here we are inside the joint, inside this nice little bar. As you can see, I went on a slow night. It was only me and another guy from California popped up. But now, here we are in Shinhakodate Station. I’m supposed to be headed to Saporro, right? But uh the typhoon put me on a I believe it was like a five or 6 hour delay. I am so heated right now, guys. I mean, I am beyond heated. I am stuck in this train station while my baseball game is going on that I’ve been looking forward to months. Now, here I am. Welcome to the stadium. Y’all, freaking shitty. Been a long freaking day to a day that I’ve been looking forward to for months now. Took me 12 hours to get to uh Saporro. Trying to go to this baseball game. It’s already in the fifth inning. Supposed to be here at 2:00 p.m. Got here at 6:00 p.m. Pissed off right now, guys. Pissed off. Hell yeah, y’all. 30 minute walk. Did in half the time about to walk into this joint. And as you can see, it’s the best stadium in the world, in my opinion. Wait until we go inside. All right, here we are inside of Escon Field. The best stadium in the entire world in my opinion. This black building right here with the mural, that’s a brewery. And also has some seating up on the rooftop. Now, this stadium, retractable roof, a hotel with an onen inside of this hotel right there to your left. Now, it’s open year round. Game day, no games. It’s open. The shops are open, but the hours will vary. This is a beautiful spot. Now, these eeries right here, it ain’t like an American joint where a hamburger is going to be 25 and a beer’s going to be 16 and this, that, and the third’s going to cost you arm and a leg. No, these are regular prices, guys. Japan does it right. Now, let’s watch my boy go Matsumoto at bat. [Music] [Applause] Nice, baby. Go. Hell yeah. Nice. [Applause] So, we came back and won the game. Now, the plan was to walk 30 minutes to the train station, but boy oh boy, that typhoon rain, woo! It came down like a Momo. So, I took a bus to the train station, the train station to the hotel. It was one long ass day, y’all. But nice little room joint right here. Now, uh I’m supposed to be headed to Hiroshima, but that typhoon’s still going on. stuff was getting cancelled, so I had to cancel my joint. I took a few hundred dollar hit in Hiroshima and I got me a new spot in Yokohama. So, here we are inside the Hammerhead Shopping Center. We uh going to start off with a donut filled with chocolate and a cup of coffee. Nice little T-Rex scientist joint looking thing. Look at that donut, y’all. Look at that thing. And it is filled to the brim. Check this out. Now flip that joint. Yo. Damn. They weren’t skimpy on that cream now. But this little coffee joint, I paid six bones for this. It ain’t worth no six bones. Deep fried dreams. boots on the third step. Leave a mark in the trunk. Bark louder. Now, right across the hall, we got Misaki donuts. I like the vibe of the little shop. So, I was like, “What the hell? Let me get another donut.” Chocolate with a banana on top. Cake donut. Too dry. Not my flavor. Then I walk downstairs and I’m like, “Hey, what the hell? Let’s eat a bowl of ramen.” So then I eat a ramen joint. Now after this little bowl of ramen, we’re going to walk another 10 minutes to another shopping center and we going to eat some more. Here we are. Restaurant from Fukuoka. Got a eggplant. That picture to your left, upper left, eggplant, ground beef pasta dish. Now, from what I can remember, this thing was pretty good. It didn’t last that long. That was in my belly in like probably a minute and a half. You know, when Rizzle likes something, the thing don’t last more than a couple minutes. We’re going to finish off this meal with some mochi sweet. I’m not a fan of the soybean powder. What the hell? [Music] All right, the sun has set. The moon has come out. It’s time to work off all that bull crap I just ate today. So, we’re walking to Anytime Fitness. It’s a beautiful spot, y’all. I mean, it was a beautiful spot. One of the best in Japan that I’ve been to. But I wasn’t gonna record myself inside with all these people. All right, y’all. Workout is done. So now I have to go and eat some more. So uh I’m headed to the spot right outside of Yokohama Station that has the greatest pizza that I’ve ever had. It’s a spicy pepperoni joint. It will change your life. Not even exaggerate. I can’t stop dreaming about this spot and I cannot wait to go back and have me another one. Here we are. Charcoal grilled potato salad. [Music] And there’s the infamous pepperoni spicy pizza, y’all. Oh my gosh. For real. For real. It will change your life. I’m living I’m living I’m living for the summers. Ooh. I’m living I’m living. I’m living for the summers. Ooh. Oh. We are living for the summers. Making memories with one another. Even if we don’t grow old. Have kids and make gold. At least we got the memories we made with one another on this summer. [Music] summer. [Music] All right, y’all. The night is over. Walking back to the hotel. And uh if you made it this far, really appreciate it. Make sure you like this joint and subscribe and check out the next vlog. You dig?

My Japan trip quickly turned into a typhoon travel nightmare!

I started off in Sendai, enjoying great food and checking out a local bar. But then the typhoon rolled in, and I got stuck for hours at Shin-Hakodate Station waiting for the trains to move again. Eventually, I made it to Sapporo just in time to catch a Fighters baseball game at Es Con Field.

Unfortunately, the typhoon completely disrupted my plans and I had to cancel my Hiroshima portion of the trip and ended up staying in Yokohama instead. While there, I hit the gym and treated myself to my favorite pizza at Mondatta.

This was definitely not the trip I had planned, but it turned into one unforgettable adventure.
