tokyo records click [CC] to turn on the subtitle in your language 【early】 lingering for a while i guess we were TOO early for our flight (ᇂᴗ ᇂ; ) taking this time to edit my malaysia diaries (i wasn’t kidding about how long it took! lol) finally boarding soon! made it through that 12 am to 4 am wait 🥹 see you later, manila~ getting from manila to japan is just a 4h 35m flight i didn’t pre-order a meal, and i ended up hungry mid-flight opted for the seafood noodle soup since the rice meals were only available for pre-order ☹️ touchdown, japan! 🇯🇵😌 【konbini】 first order of business the noodles didn’t fill me up, so we’re having a quick snack and refreshment break before heading out~ i got the mentaiko flavored rice ball and tamago sando 💛 girl forgot about her ticket completely ʕʘ‿ʘ ˶ʔ S went back for it! thankfully the staff had it 🙈 we’ll take the skyliner to keisei ueno and transfer
to the tokyo metro ginza line from there s and i have always dreamed of exploring tokyo together so we’re really happy it’s happening this time! we didn’t really set an itinerary for this trip though …just like we always do 😆 we’ve only managed a couple hours of sleep on the plane it’s peaceful enough to drift off, but the view keeps me awake 【to the hotel】 a day of walking from here on out made it to the ginza line! time to find the suica card booth getting off here at aoyama-itchome station our hotel is just a 7-10 minute walk from the station and the summer heat seems to intensify with every step we take 😂 we’re early for check-in, so we’ll leave the luggage and head out again 【strolling around】 sun-filled, hydrangea-painted streets we chose this area for its quiet neighborhood, while still being close the main disctricts and there are hydrangeas blooming everywhere here too! it’s such a lovely residential area here might be one of the pricier neighborhoods to live in though (⌒ ◡ ⌒;) btw, we’re just staying close to the hotel, so we can head back to check in at 2 pm this looks like an apartment building…or maybe partly commercial? either way, it looks really cool! passed by a 7-eleven and decided to grab some snacks since we haven’t had a proper meal yet got a club sandwich, rice ball, and suntory boss coffee 【i’m hungry】 izakaya dinner headed to shibuya after checking in, but i was too hangry to film🙂 we found this izakaya and went straight in! we plan on really exploring shibuya tomorrow, so i’ll just film then i noticed that the english menu’s prices are a bit pricier compared to the japanese one 😂 better to get the japanese menu and translate. food here’s tasty regardless! 【peaceful walk】 walking the path less traveled wandering off the usual attractions might seem boring to some but for me, it feels like i’m meeting the city in its most ordinary, gentle, and true character ♡.⊹˚˖ if i only stuck to the popular spots, i’d miss little details, like these graffitis i never thought i’d see in japan 😂😌 taking a quick break before my feet completely give out (⌒ ◡ ⌒;) there’s this constant overlap of modern life and tradition around here we’re walking back to our hotel and ended up in harajuku everything’s closed, but the streets carry this quiet charm that keeps them from feeling empty✨🪻 this gave me a little scare at first glance though! (ᅌᴥᅌ) DAY 02 i love how the ginza line trains have such a timeless charm to it 🫒🤎 【let’s go again】 the official visit to shibuya we already crossed here last night, but the summer morning light makes shibuya crossing feel new again 💫 ( tried to fix the flicker here, but this is the best i can do for now ) my hair feels too dry, and with this humidity, i had to grab something to fix it so happy to spot lots of cardcaptor sakura merch here!! 🦁🪽 took a much-needed little hair rescue break~! (also to save myself from pulling too many gacha 😅) all these cardcaptor sakura things are so precious…🥹 we were just running from the summer heat, but this turned out to be such a good stop! this place is perfect if you’re looking to shop trendy and chic japanese fashion pieces i kind of want one of these, but i don’t want to make an impulsive purchase ʕ´･ε･｀ʔ 【escape the summer heat】 hiding away in an other mall we remembered to visit the mugiwara store here in shibuya! *childhood memories of tagalog-dubbed taguro rushing back* would have bought this in a heartbeat if the colors were inverted! (it’s giving prison shirt😭) should’ve taken better care of my yu-gi-oh cards…i had some really good ones 😭 found it! too bad filming’s not allowed inside the store~ 【coffee time】 a quick little break iced café au lait & japanese egg toast it’s so simple, but i really like this toast! the mayo brings the flavor together 【shibuya to shinonome】 unexpected errand we’re buying a motorcycle helmet for S’ cousin here at ricoland tokyo bay apparently, this is a popular shop among bike and motor enthusiasts! now, we’re making our way back to the train station i love how there’s a proper pedestrian lane even beside such a massive road (°⌓°ς) we’re just 40 minutes away from shibuya, but it feels a little remote here i’m just amazed at how easy it feels to walk everywhere without worrying about safety and these greens with their little forest charm, feel comforting after the endless view of the road! arrived at the station after 15 minutes of walking! these steep stairs remind me of the ones at boni station back home 😂 it’ll take us about 31 minutes to reach aoyama-itchome station from here 【first ramen in tokyo】 late lunch here at naokyu at aoyama twin for ramen 🍜 (the building is linked right to the station!) we’ll eat first, then head back to the hotel to drop off the helmet (⌒ ◡ ⌒;) rich and delicious, yet gentle.〜
a hearty bowl of SHIO ramen for me ^_^ it’s a small ramen shop near our hotel shoyu tsukemen for S i really prefer the clean and gentle flavors of shio ramen 😌 it tastes delicious and light! somehow refreshing even when it’s hot. it’s also my first time having chicken in a ramen 🍜 【walk around with a cup of coffee】next stop: akihabara akihabara really hits you right in the nostalgia 😌🥊 patamon and dark magician girl!! S and i always talk about how nothing sells better than nostalgia so i always whisper to myself and to him: hold onto your purse, soft-hearted inner child 💸🥺😆 we’re looking for one piece TCG deck boxes …and a switch 2 😂 found this official game dice instead! if you’re into anime, manga, and games, you’ll surely have a great time here we didn’t go to any, but there’s also a lot of maid cafes here once i have my own place and not moving around so much, i’ll collect all the CLAMP manga i love 🤍 【let’s go find dinner】 all this walking’s made me hungry we were walking home and got hungry along the way saw a mcdo on the way and figured tonight’s the perfect excuse 😆 i’m having the teriyaki burger and the melon fanta S ordered the regular burger and with this on the side interesting (ᇂᴥ ᇂ; ) we’re taking a different way back to the hotel tonight~ everything closes early here, so walking feels like the nicest way to spend the rest of the night sorry about the flicker! i tried the correct setting but i still get this 🙂 just looking for pain relief patches btw (⌒ ◡ ⌒;) we definitely chose a (way) longer route tonight 😬 we come across plenty of unexpected sights, but most are closed or simply lost in the dark tonight and that’s a wrap for the first part of the japan diaries (‘ᴗ’)✨ i hope these slower moments brought you a sense of peace too 🎐☁️ more of our tokyo days coming up in the next diary ʕ ꈍ◡ꈍ ʔ hope to see you then 🌿 and thank you for walking along with me this far 🌙 bye bye~

we traveled to japan two months ago. i’m sharing in this diary the first two days of our trip. summer in japan starts in june, so it was pretty hot when we were there. we thought it’s best to not set a fixed itinerary and just try to get to know the city instead!〜 we stayed for 10 days in total, and i’m excited to share the rest with you! 頑張ります。ʕ❛ᴥ❛ʔ
