Obsessed with IES Abroad Nagoya’s field trips 🫨🇯🇵 #IESabroad #studyabroad #IESabroadNagoya #Japan
This is day one of my trip to Shiraakawa/ Takayyama. We headed off on a bus ride. It was about 3 hours to the Shirakawa village. It’s this beautiful village with lots of old buildings and lots of fun things to explore. We got admission into this old building which had lots of artifacts and a lot of really cool things that were left over from the period that it was from and koofish. And we got time to explore the village. I got a matcha ice cream and they were selling these hats. We then went to the Takayyama folk village where we got to make our own mani neckos. So, this was how mine turned out. Then we got some time to explore the area which was the most serene and beautiful place that I’ve ever been to. All of the buildings were open for exploration and you could just explore the entire area. It had lots of buildings. There was a shrine, um, lots of plants and there was koi. Then we headed over to our hotel which is beautiful. We even had our own laundry machines in the rooms and it was so nice. We then had buffet style dinner but and there was also these other dishes as well. I then headed off into the onen which cameras are not allowed. So this is just the outside. And after that, I looked out at the view.
