1泊3,550円で横浜みなとみらいに泊まる!アパホテル&リゾート〈横浜ベイタワー〉

This video captures my stay at the APA Hotel & Resort Yokohama Bay Tower in Yokohama Minato Mirai. The nearest stations are Bashamichi Station on the Minato Mirai Line (a 4-minute walk) and Sakuragicho Station on the JR Negishi Line (a 15-minute walk). The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Minato Mirai’s major tourist attractions. This skyscraper tower hotel boasts 2,311 rooms, making it one of Japan’s largest. The cheapest room is just ¥7,100 per night. For two people, the price is ¥3,550 per person, making it a great deal. I booked the cheapest room without a view. However, perhaps because I had an APA Hotel affiliated credit card, I was given a slight upgrade. What kind of room did I end up with? Watch the video until the end. Please subscribe and like! Now, let’s get started. Upon entering the hotel, the hotel entrance is illuminated with the distinctive APA Hotel lighting, even during the day. The lobby has a high, bright ceiling. My room this time was 1553, which I unlocked with this card. I just entered my room. My room is on the 15th floor. It’s in the yellow area. It’s larger than the other rooms. As soon as I entered the room, there were three hangers for pants and three hangers for jackets, a total of six. And because this is an APA Resort, there’s a haori coat like this. If you stay at a regular APA hotel, you’re only provided with a yukata. At an APA Resort, a haori coat is provided. This is very helpful. It’s black and cool. Below, there are two trash sorting bins like this. There’s a full-length mirror here. This area is the same at all APA hotels, so I’ll just briefly explain. There are slippers for the hotel, disposable slippers, and a shoe horn. This room is probably barrier-free. It’s a barrier-free twin. I booked a room without a view. This surprised me. I wasn’t expecting a view, so I wasn’t planning on taking a video this time. The view is great. I was upgraded to a room with a great view. Take a look at this. You can even see the SKY CABIN gondola over there. You can see the Cosmo World Ferris wheel across the street, as well as the Osanbashi Pier. This is really nice. I was very surprised. My room without a view became one with a great view. This is what the room looks like. It’s a twin room. There are two beds. This is the same at all APA Hotels, so I’ll explain briefly. There are two pillows: a hard pillow like this and a slightly softer, cushioned pillow. One is a flat, thin pillow, and this one is a bit thicker. This is a tissue box. Origami cranes are provided here. Foreigners would probably appreciate them. Each bed has one power outlet and a USB port in the middle. You can also adjust the lights and air conditioning using the panel next to the pillow. There’s a large 60-inch TV in front of the bed. You can watch it comfortably even while lying down. The space here is usually smaller in regular APA Hotel rooms. This is probably because it’s a barrier-free room, so it’s wide enough for a wheelchair to pass through. So, there’s quite a lot of space between the bed and the desk. There’s a desk directly in front. There’s a kettle. Beneath it is the hotel refrigerator. This area is the same. It looks like this. Here, there are two APA Hotel original paper cups and glasses in different colors. There’s creamer powder for green tea and coffee. There are two coffee bags. There’s also sugar and a stirrer. The facilities here haven’t changed at all. There’s a book from the APA Group. This door swings open, so let’s open it. Inside, we found a folding table. It’s always kept visible in the room. This time, it was inside like this. It ‘s probably kept in the closet so it doesn’t get in the way of the wheelchair. The table has two power outlets, a light, and a LAN cable. There’s one chair with a back and one stool without a back. With this workspace, you can work at the table. That’s nice. There are two bottles of water and deodorizer. There’s a light above, so it’s very bright. Here’s a full view of the room. There are two beds. And in front of them is a large space. There’s also a TV and a desk. Let me show you this side. There’s a large bathroom door, so I’ll show you inside. Let’s take a look inside this bathroom. What kind of bathroom is it? The bathroom has a fairly wide entrance, as you can see. I think it’s probably barrier-free, so wheelchairs can fit inside. The bathroom is also quite spacious. There’s a TOTO washlet toilet in the middle. This shower-like thing isn’t a shower. It’s specifically for ostomates, and it seems to be designed so that people wearing face masks can wash. It’s also accessible to people with disabilities. There’s a handrail like this. Handrails like this are convenient for wheelchair users. The bathtub is on this side. It’s not much bigger than a regular room, I think. The facilities are about the same. There’s shampoo, conditioner, and three body washes here. But there’s a large public bath, so people will probably use that. However, people with disabilities can enjoy a relaxing bath here. The bathtub also has a large space in front of it, where you can sit. Perhaps people can come in here in a wheelchair, sit here, and then get in the bathtub. There are handrails everywhere, including one on this side and another here. The sink is here. Bathrooms in typical APA Hotel rooms are small, but this one is spacious. There’s a mirror and a light. There are amenities here, too. There are paper cups. The usual amenities: a brush, cotton swabs, two toothbrushes, and a razor. A cotton ball set and a towel for washing your body are also provided. The amenities are the same at every APA Hotel. These are all you need. The water from this faucet is labeled as potable, so it’s drinkable. The room looks like this. This is my first time staying in a barrier-free room. I’m only staying in this room for one night, but it has a great view, so I’ll enjoy it while I enjoy it. Now, let’s test my internet speed. Let’s start. Download: 74.1Mbps. Upload: 57.5Mbps. With speeds like these, you can enjoy the internet comfortably. That’s all for the internet speed. Excuse me. I walked from the hotel to the Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal. The rooftop plaza here is an open space with natural grass and a wooden deck that resembles a ship’s deck. From Osanbashi Pier, you can enjoy a wide view of Yokohama Port. We even saw large ships depart. We also visited the nearby Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. It was built as a national model warehouse from the late Meiji period to the early Taisho period. It was reborn as a cultural and commercial facility in 2002, preserving the original atmosphere. As it was getting dark, we went to see the Nippon Maru, a sailing ship designated as an Important Cultural Property. The night view from here, along with the illuminated Cosmo World Ferris wheel, was incredibly beautiful. As expected, the Minato Mirai night view is vibrant, and you could gaze at it forever. Now that we’re back at the hotel, let me introduce the facilities. There’s a fitness gym on the fourth floor. It has a variety of dumbbells, two treadmills, and a rowboat-style strength training machine. After a workout, we headed to the large public bath on the same floor. It uses pure natural Komyoishi hot spring water. The large public bath is very spacious. It also has a bubble bath, a tub bath, a reclining bath, and an open-air bath. After your bath, you can relax in a massage chair for an additional fee. There are two Family Marts on the same floor. You can also purchase rice balls, bento boxes, desserts, and freshly brewed coffee. There’s also an ATM and a copy machine, making it very convenient. By the way, they also sell APA President Curry. Exiting this floor leads to the poolside terrace. It’s cool at night, making it the perfect place to cool off after a bath. There were fireworks going off at Yokohama Port, and we were able to see them from the terrace. Of course, even back in our room, we could enjoy the Minato Mirai night view from our window. The view from our room with a great view is truly beautiful. If you time it right, you can even see cruise ships leaving Osanbashi Pier. I visited a restaurant on the first floor of the hotel that serves APA President Curry. It’s a simple restaurant with only counter seating and a menu that consists solely of curry. I ordered the Premium Soft Chunky Beef President Curry for 1,550 yen. I showed them a coupon from the APA Hotel quarterly magazine in my room and they gave me a free sausage topping. The curry is based on Kanazawa curry from Ishikawa Prefecture, so it’s also served with cabbage. The flavor was quite spicy, which I really liked. If you haven’t tried APA President Curry yet, I highly recommend it. Finally, here are my impressions of my stay at the APA Hotel & Resort Yokohama Bay Tower. This hotel offers a wide range of amenities, including a large public bath, fitness gym, and convenience store, but the accommodation rates are reasonable. Located in the heart of Minato Mirai, it’s recommended for those who want to explore the area thoroughly. Another major benefit is the short train ride to Yokohama Chinatown from nearby Bashamichi Station on the Minato Mirai Line. Hotel rates are slightly higher on weekends, so staying outside of the weekends is a great deal. Minato Mirai also offers many great spots for enjoying the night view, and fireworks are frequently held. A casual stroll from the hotel to watch the night view and fireworks is sure to make for a fun stay. This hotel is recommended for those who want to enjoy Minato Mirai until late into the night. I hope this will be helpful for those looking for a hotel near Minato Mirai. If you enjoyed this video, please click the like button. Thank you for watching until the end.
