A new Japanese restaurant will be opening in Roanoke off SH 114.
The details
The buildout of Kimiya Japanese Cuisine is expected to be finished by mid-September, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Construction began June 15 in the former On The Border location, which closed at the end of 2024. The total renovation cost is expected to be $250,000, according to the filing.
Roanoke Economic Development Manager Siale Langi said he has not received an update on a targeted opening date from the business as of Aug. 25.
The restaurant will serve a variety of Japanese food options. Kimiya Japanese Cuisine’s first location is set to open in McKinney at a later date.
