Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel. If you are visiting Fukwoka, Japan and looking to explore beyond the city, this video is for you. I’m going to share two amazing day trip you can easily do from Fukoka which are Kumomoto and Kokura Castle. Both are full of history, beautiful view, and totally family friendly. First up is Kumamoto, a city about 40 to 50 minutes away by sasen or Japan bullet train from hakata station. The sincasen ride itself is already very exciting experience for us and our kid. My son really enjoy to see how fast the train goes. Kumamoto is most famous for one thing which is Kumamoto Castle. Kumamoto Castle is honestly one of the coolest place that we visited and is perfect when you’re traveling with kids. It’s not just any old castle. This one is huge and super iconic. It’s also full of history but not in the board way. It’s engaging for the whole family. The castle itself looks like something straight out of a samurai movie. Even my kid were like, “Wow, when they see the tall black and white towers and a massive stone walls. Inside the castle, there’s a fun interactive exhibits like samurai display and hands on experience where kids can learn how people live back then. How to get to this castle? Kumamoto Castle is an easy 15 to 20 minutes walk from the Kumamoto train station. If you don’t want to walk, you can also write a tram. The tram is fun and can save some energy to visit the castle. Our second trip is to Kokura Castle. Kokura Castle was such a pleasant surprise, especially if you want a short and easy outing with the kids from Fukoka. It’s just a quick trend right away like 15 to 20 minutes. So you don’t have to deal with long travel times or cranky little ones. The castle itself is beautiful but not overwhelming. It’s perfect for families. It’s surrounded by a car mold and fishful garden. Inside the castle is where the real fun happen. They make it super interactive and kids friendly. My kids really like this. There are a touch screen, a photo zone, and even a spot where kids and also adult can try on samurai hamlets or outfits. How to go to this castle? Well, from Hakata station just take a train to Kokura station and then from there is a simple 10 to 15 minutes walk to the castle. It’s a nice walk and your kids can play along the walk. So there you have it. Two fantastic day trip from Pukoka. A full day culture and food adventure in Kumamoto Castle and relaxing and shorter outing in Kokura Castle. Botard are super easy to reach using Japan excellent training system and they give you a deep look into a Kusu rich historian charm. Let me know in the comment which one would you visit first.
